I cant get it to turn on like a UV light. Also when using like a racquet its not really killing the flies. it’s got a squatter little handle that doesn’t have a reach as far as the other name brands.Overall it’s a total internet fail of an item for us.Hugely disappointed. Save your money and don’t buy.... OR just get the name brand of tennis racquet bug zapper as I’ve tried those before and they work (unlike this). This items will just take up space in our garage and remain unused until i can gather the courage to trash it.

Never had a bug zapper with small enough spacings to kill gnats! I love this and for the price? Can’t beat it. If it’s gnats you’re after then I suggest you swing a little slower so you are not to blow them away. Or trap them against a wall and this thing really lights them up. I haven’t seen the freestanding feature in action but in its defense when I see a fly I’m killing it.. not gonna wait for it to land on the zapper lol

I purchase this Item twice and each time the same thing. It stopped working after a few days. The worse part of it all is that nothing got zapped on the one day it worked, and the detachable swatter has no light so I don't even know if it would work at all. If you buy it and if you get it to work it might zap a moth or a fly late at night with the lights off but please do some research, mosquitos are attracted for pheromones not light sources and products seems to lead people to believe it will kill the most annoying insect like a mosquito.

Maybe I'm a sadist but it's fund killing a pesky fly! It's like a sport. Rechargeable is a plus and charges fast. Transitions from stand to handheld, but it's not the best design for either purpose. The handle is short, so poor range and the racket thick/rounded, so flies escape when supposedly swatted/trapped on wall). Plus bugs don't seem to be attracted to the blue light at all. That said, if you have good aim, you can zap and kill house flies and definitely fruit flies.

So to preface this, I have a lot of house plants and herbs. I tend to get fruit flies in pretty regularly. I once had an electronic fly swatter, but my boyfriend broke it. I bought this, and it works pretty well! So far I have found 5 dead flies near it in the morning, and a few small ones, which is great. The downside is that when it is not plugged in, using it as a wand, it does not zap or anything so it is really hard to tell if I have hit a gnat.

The product is good at its quality, but it seems that its current and voltage are not high enough to kill the mosquito by the first touch. Sometimes, you zap a flying bug and it still can move and fly again few minutes later.

I have a big Noseeum issue in my condo. The only way to get these blood sucking, demons is to disturb the areas where I can feel them and then wave swatted around the area hoping I’ll kill some. Did I forget to mention the fact that they are nearly impossible to see without a magnifying glass.

Not effective at all. Not powerful enough. Bugs not attracted to it at all. Not happy that it only came with a USB cord, and no power adapter to plug it into an outlet.

No mara mosquitos.
