Versailles Journal (Notebook, Diary)

It's honestly a well put-together notebook, and the pages, print, and cover are all excellent.

Just received mine and the pics don’t do it justice. And I, like some others here, couldn’t get the sticker on the back off in one piece. To solve that, I used my hairdryer on hot and ran it over the sticker for a few seconds. Then I slowly peeled it off. Any residue left behind, ran the hairdryer over it again real quick and and gently peel it off. It’s all gone and left nothing behind.

so im ocd. i obsessively write lists to release tension and stress. im also partially blind and constantly fall victim to the disorientating and headache inducting, black text on a bright white screen seeing double issue, bc my eyes are a VERY fair blue, which also leads to my extreme over sensitivity..i basically hide in the dark 24/7 with the night light mode permanently turned on, on my laptop. going into 30 soon, my eyesight getting worse and more floaters showing up in my already really bad vision, i often find myself gravitating and becoming increasingly more picky over the color of paper i use to write on. i feel more at ease using these peter pauper press themed journals and this Versailles Journal was my first purchase from them. i have to say that it is stunning to look at, i adore it. i just wanted something of more quality, with more of a "night light" warm effect to the paper, like parchment, but more even, so i dont end up seeing spots from the natural grain of the parchment, im a complete mess. they lie flat, the lines are easier to look at and i dont find myself looking away in pain. the high quality, thick, archival paper is very close to cardstock almost, and im in love with it using my xtra bold 1.6mm glitter gel pens, and my bic pens. Also, you never know how much you truly need an attached ribbon bookmark, until you have one and then every other notebook becomes useless because it doesnt have one and you become frustrated bc if its not attached, it falls out! i have to use scissors to cut out the pages if i need to give my husband a grocery list... lol he even complained about how thick the paper was to keep in his pocket bc it felt like he had a Hallmark gift card in there. the only thing i could improve, and this is just me being plain picky at this point, is that i wish the edges of the papers where rounded, otherwise they are absolutely beautiful and make me happy to handle a hardcover journal for my needs, not so small that i struggle to use it either. im going for the medallions diary next, and have a list of more from this company. im just too old to struggle with cheap comp notebooks anymore that i honestly partially blame for some of my vision loss due to the brightness of the paper and the black lines. i need to save whats left of my sight!

This is my 3rd and I'm about to order my 4th. I don't know if I'm the only who loves collecting pretty journals, but I guess there are worse things I could be stuck on collecting. Some I don't even write in because they are so beautiful, I'd rather hang on to them and keep a spot on my on my bookshelf for them. These are absolutely gorgeous, and I'm thrilled that they are designed from patterns in history. Versailles is a magical place and this is a favorite of my journals. The pages are soft, the gilding is lovely. It's very well made. They are little works of art, and if you love to have a beautiful space in which to write and feel warm inside when you hold a pretty book in your hand, these are perfect for that purpose. Great gift for yourself or someone special. This company has become my favorite of all on Amazon. PPS is amazing. It must be great working for them! These days I think it's important to keep special things in our lives that help us feel comforted. That I can have pretty journals that draw from various historical periods and figures is really cool, and I love Peter Pauper Press. What a joy.I've seen people give some low reviews because if the sticker, and it does hurt your heart to see such a big sticker on the journal. Buy it comes off very easily! I wasn't really sure what to expect, quality wise, when purchasing this, but I was blown away by how pretty it actually is in person! Sturdy as well!

I love the esthetic and line number on the pages, it smells weird maybe from the factory it was made from but I just spray it with perfume if it bothers me

Bought this to put my emotions and pain on paper after struggling a long hard year of loosing my best friend my Husband to terminal cancer. He passed away on September 6th 2020 after being diagnosed September 13th 2019i have a lot to say after 25 years together and this felt like the right book to write it down in.It is a beautiful book.Jane.

I'm so happy and impressed with this book! The attention to detail is amazing! The cover is thick leather embossed with gold - including the spine, so that it look good on a bookshelf too. The paper is great quality and lined - very smooth to write on. The book stays open easily while writing in it so it's practical as well as looking good! The size is brilliant - slightly larger than most of my notebooks (mostly A5 size) which gives plenty of room to write without being too big to store easily.Would certainly recommend getting this - also highly recommend abandoning the idea of any notebook being "too pretty" to use! There are so many other nice books I've seen that I have to start using the ones I have - I'm using this book for my Ancient Greek homework. It feels so indulgent to use a beautiful book and takes the edge off a difficult subject! Definitely recommend buying this book and using it!

This notebook is absolutely beautiful. It looks exactly as advertised and has the most beautiful holden edged pages. The paper seems sturdy, as does the cover. I could not be more thrilled with it - it is so lovely to look at I am a little scared to write in it! For the price, I think the quality is excellent and I know I'll be buying from this company again.

I just don't think this notebook is for me.What I like: the design, the size, and the spacing in-between lines.What I do not like: the slippery pages, the way the paper feels like lament when writing, and the the cover feels like cardboard.I don't think it's bad, just not my fave.

I journal daily and absolutely love the quality of these journals.However, I'm really disappointed with this one as it's not 'vibrant purple' like it looks.. but really dull.I really enjoy all the beautiful designs, but this one won't be used unfortunately.
