Briar Patch DaVinci's Mancala Game

Great product
This is a twist on the traditional Mancala. You have to think about strategy, how to block your opponent and how best to creat your Mancala designs. My sons and I love this game. We like Mancala anyway, this just adds an extra strategic dimension. Although we love it the pieces are a little difficult to manage on a flat board so we place a large African made mancala box on the board, it fits perfect and keeps all those pieces in control. Sadly, this game and the other related DaVinci games are no longer in production. However if you love strategy games and/or Mancala and if you find one, buy it!

Mancala
Bought this for our granddaughter and her Mom to play - they seem to be enjoying it very much.

Lots of fun.
My kids and I play this game the regular way and now the DaVinci way. Lots of fun.

UNIMPRESSIVE
I was hoping to engender interest in Da Vinci in two grandsons with this game, but all it did was bore and confuse them.

Mancala on steroids. Awesome.
Just got this after we picked up the Davinci board game which was too fun. We've (2 adults and a 10 year old) have always enjoyed mancala but this took it to a nice new level. A LOT more fun than the usual game. Plays fast, challenges the mind by looking for patterns (sometimes multiple patterns), and lots of strategy. Awesome.

Mancala with a twist
My kids love all things DaVinci, but even if you are not a DaVinci fan, this is a great mancala game. It can be played as regular mancala or you can try to make as many of the shapes on your side of the board as possible while preventing your opponent from doing the same. We've had this game for over a year and it still gets pulled out of the closet quite a bit. Well worth having!

Great strategy game.
I enjoyed playing this game with my son. He had fun too and won. There are some big differences between this game and Mancala. While the mechanics of movement remain the same, the placement of the tiles and scoring for the different designs make it more complex and requires more thought. It also takes a little longer to play than Mancala. I thought I would have to go easy on my son, but obviously I was wrong.
