Great adapter.
This adapter works very well. Keep in mind, it is not a plug and play for a standard desktop computer. You will need a serial adapter for your computer since computers aren't usually made with serial ports anymore. I used a Keyspan USB serial adapter and it works good. Also, there is no software for this product. You will need to be familiar with MODBUS communication protocols to be able to get your computer to communicate with your charger. Once you get data from the charger, you'll be amazed at how much information and control you can get out of your charger.

It worked as advertised. Morningstar tech support walked me through the software that enabled me to change the settings on my solar charging system. Morningstar and the Meterbus Adapter get 5 stars.
