Serious Neck Muscle Growth
Bryant and Benshea are insane trainers period. I was really interested in how effective their methods of training were. I enjoy the fact that it’s not over the top exercises that needs to be performed in order to see growth. Often times I neglected working out my neck period. When I dove deeper into this book I learned how important neck training is and how tactical shield training can enhance your neck and trap size. Those who are in doubt of reading this book should look at my results. I’ve only been following tactical shield training for 3 weeks now and this is the progress I’ve made. A little addressed though necessary part of building a durable, healthy body
Josh Bryant is continuing to provide simple, concise guides to building a solid, healthful, complete body with Tactical Shield Training.Neck training doesn't receive the attention it deserves in training literature outside of combat sports.Everyone who is serious about building a durable, high functioning, attractive physique should be giving as much time to their neck as they do bi's, tri's, pec's, ab's or any other muscle group.

Old yet new take on training
I did not know what exactly to expect from this book. However after wading through the anecdotes, the program is valid and functional. My neck is getting stronger along with my upper back and alot if the pain I experience from age and work has lessened. I enjoy the book and recommend it if you are looking to train the muscle groups it is written to target.

Check your neck
This is a typically great read from Josh and Adam. It is full of information that goes beyond the usual "bro science " out there. The authors can back up the information in many instances by citing various studies and also through demonstrating real world results with their trainees and peers. It includes way more than suggesting some shrugs, cleans, and neck harness work. These guys know how to get strong and get jacked. Josh walks the walk and is a record setting champion lifter with brains and knowledge to match his ridiculous amount of physical strength. I always look for new material from these guys and this doesn't disappoint. I especially recommend this book for anyone involved in contact sports and combat sports. A strong neck could save you from severe injury, so get this book and get after it.

Worth it's salt
Linear. Simple. Effective. Do it exclusively. Or sprinkle it in to your current training. I did the latter. I have an equilibrium disability do to head trauma and my left ear had two wildly invasive surgeries. I get tension headaches all the time. Neck was almost always kinked.I'm prepping for a push pull meet and have used mostly just the neck portion, paying attention to the finer points. I got a little extra thickness, and way more balance out of my neck. AND ZERO TENSION HEADACHES. wtf. How is that possible. Anywho. It's cheap and good. Just buy it.

Training the neck.
I gave this book a 5 star rating because it contains excellent information presented in an entertaining manner. I've been training neck for years and still managed to glean a few good tips.I believe that neck training is important for all people regardless of whether or not they participate in contact sports but especially for those who do compete in contact sports. This is one of the most vulnerable areas of your body. Keep it strong and protected.

Jailhouse Strong: Tactical Shield Training is an amazing book on trap and neck training. Josh does an awesome job of laying out the tools that one needs to take their neck and trap development to the next level. I learned some new ideas and movements for this book that really lit the fire under me to start training traps and neck hard again. When it comes to neck training only two people come to mind Mike "The Machine" Bruce and Josh Bryant. Thanks for putting out a great book Josh.

Protect your neck!
A quick read with priceless info. An often neglected body part in the world of fitness. Great descriptions on hitting the neck and traps from all angles, plus a solid program to follow. A must have and definitely worth the money.

Great Book to have
Great Book, should be read by anyone who wants to be strong, and that should be everyone. Josh has shared so much information for free and this book is well structured and has a nice program. I like him and all his books, grateful for people like him.
