Would you confirm if it is both PTFE and PFOA free? I have a parrot and these fumes are deadly to birds.

I'm not sure if it's 100% toxins free, I saw a lawsuit filed on GreenPan for presence of toxins (check google).

How well does this pan caramelize or brown? I am convinced of the non stick capability I just want to know it can do this crutial task.

I find it browns food quite well. I've used it to cook chicken, sauté vegetables, and make fried rice. The non stick is excellent, food releases easily.

Does anyone use a lid with this? I'd like to buy it to replace my Analon Ultimate Pan, but 12.5" seems to be an odd size as far as lids go.

I use the 12" lid from another pan; while it doesn't exactly fit, it does the job while I search for a better-fitting lid. This pan is worth the effort. ;)
