bought this for my beagle to keep my other dog from biting her. It’s kept her away from her neck. The dog still bites other places on her, but her neck is now safe. I love how wide it is to protect all of her neck. it makes her look really tough.

Just came today and I HAD to write a review. The collar is beautiful and sturdy. It's heavier and more solid than I thought it would be. Just gorgeous. Plenty of metal spikes and they are nice and pointy. Just what I needed!I had concerns about my dog potentially being attacked when we are out and about. Pet owners have to worry about coyotes, mountain lions, and (of course) other dogs. This collar gives me so much peace of mind. I think any animal that tried to get a mouthful of him would greatly regret it. I strongly recommend getting this collar (or at least something similar to it) for your pup. Especially if you have a smaller dog!Note: the spikes really, really are quite pointy. This is a huge plus for me as pup will only wear it for protection when outside. You will have to be careful when the collar is on - very possible for this collar to accidentally injure you or a doggie friend if you have a particularly exuberant pup.Because of that, I do NOT recommend this collar if you're specifically looking for a 24/7 badass fashion accessory. No shame in wanting your dog to look badass! However, you're going to want to get a spiked collar with shorter/duller spikes on it.....trust me. Then you've got a dog who looks badass 24/7 without having to worry about him putting his buddy's eye out when they roughhouse. Or cutting you by accident if you come home and your dog jumps all over you excitedly.Honestly, I'm pleased enough with the quality of this that I'd also trust pretty much any other style of collar these folks sell too. Just shop around and find what works best for you! A+

After being attacked 2 times on walks I knew I had to get one of these collars, its a thick nice heavy collar. Spikeas are really sharp. Long enough for protectión when going for walks.Make sure to take off as it's pretty sharp. Will purchase more for my other dogs. Size down.

My dang dog keeps rubbing against my leg...hurts me..kind wish it was real leather

Very cool looking but only for show when walking dogs or leaving house because those spikes are NO joke!!! They will cut or hurt your dog if it scratches it neck or if it runs into your leg ect.

I purchased this to protect my girls neck on walks. The metal spikes did not disappoint. They’re definitely sharp and can definitely hurt if you’re not careful yourself. Only down fault is that the spikes do not wrap completely around the neck. Of course it’s impossible for a belt to strap if they did but still. Wish it did because there is always the possibility of an accident happening. Good spikes though. Especially for something on Amazon. For something this sharp you’d probably have to make or find on eBay.

I mostly bought this due to aggressive off leash dog encounters increasing over the years, and every added little bit of protection makes me feel better. That being said, the metal spikes on this collar are very sharp - be careful! The collar seems well made enough, is a bit on the heavier side, and most of all looks great on my puppy!
