Arrived onetime, in working condition, and love the music.
If youre a NKOTB fan, you need this in your collection. It's a classic and I am so happy to have it. Sure I can listen to this on Pandora music, but it doesn't feel as good as a tangible CD. If you know, you know. - a testament to my age I'm sure.

FACE THE MUSIC: THE CROWNING ACHIEVEMENT OF NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!!
The CD arrived fast and in perfect condition! FACE THE MUSIC is an OUTSTANDING release from the AWESOME New Kids on the Block! It is a very fluid CD from start to finish. And even though it was released 22 years ago, it is STILL fresh and relevent... It is a CRIME that the record company showed absolutely NO interest in this release, and treated it like a pile of dog sh*t... There was no backing or promotion for this CD by the record company, as Sony was in the midst of blackballing NKOTB, & Sony wanted them to go away. The industry used and abused the New Kids, and were done with them when the guys exercized their rights, contracturally, to have more say in the production and direction they were moving in. Sony said LATER, and proceeded to plot their downfall... Face The Music was released with NO fanfare, minimal advertising, and absolutely no support from Sony in early 1994. The boys do write and produce much of this CD, and the sound is way more mature and different: IN A GOOD WAY!!! The BEST cuts on this album: You Got the Flavor, Girls, Never Let You Go, Since You Walked Into My Life, If You Go Away (with SPECTACULAR vocals by Jordan and Joey), and of course: Dirty Dawg!!! As one reviewer put it, "this is definitely Multi-Platinum material" ... MOST DEFINITELY, this album should have been #1 and multi-platinum, but you dont mess with the "system", without MAJOR consequenses, and the guys found this out to be true --- all because they did not want to continue to be "bubble gum" pop, little boys... Thank God, they pushed Sony's buttons, & moved in their own direction (including, cutting ties with long time producer -- Maurice Starr), otherwise, we would NOT have this DELICIOUS record to listen to!! What a GREAT piece of News Kids LEGACY!!! If you buy this CD, you will be VERY happy, and LUCKY to own it, as it is hard to find, and long, long out of print. Even though the boys broke up during the promotion of this album, it is in no way because the album was not good... It IS EXTREMELY good, and in my opinion one of the BEST albums of the 1990's. Jordan, Joey, Danny, Donnie, and Jon would ultimately reform (with GREAT success) in 2008. They would put out 2 very good quality CD's ("The Block" in 2008, and "10" in 2013), but "Face The Music" is the MEN of "New Kids on the Block's" CROWNING ACHIEVEMENT!!!

soulful sounds from beantown
what a great album. i slept on this one, but had heard so many good things about it. it's too bad that nkotb were breaking up when they went on tour to promote this album. it's so soulful and got great grooves...produced by teddy riley! nkotb do new jack swing, and do it well! jordan knight's voice is so soulful and full on this disc. 'if you go away' has always been my favorite nkotb song and this is the original, slightly different arrangement, which is gorgeous. check out 'girls,' 'never let you go,' 'i can't believe it's over' and 'since you walked into my life.' new kids on the block were a 'white' r&b group when they first came out and after pop success they went back to their r&b roots with this last album before they broke up in 1994. they are back together as of 2008, bigger and badder than ever!

love it
I dont understand why this cd wasnt a big hit. I got it today, and currently listening to it now. The songs are really catchy and not bad at all! Its nothing like the other NKOTB cd's. This is more...grown up (if thats the right word to use). Maybe thats why it wasnt a huge hit? because everyone expected a certain sound from nkotb, and this is completely opposite. But its opposite in a good way. I think every nkotb fan should buy this cd. Oh, and for Joey fans, his voice on this album is completely done going through puberty. I couldnt even recognize his voice! It sounds like it does now. :)

Sorry I let the Haters influence me...
So, if you haven't heard, NKOTB are back and have a new album, "The Block", coming out on September 2nd. I'm going to see them on Tour. Surprisingly, my love for them is back and apparently never died. I really regret that I didn't buy this CD 14 years ago. I was too embarrassed because they weren't "cool" anymore.By FAR their best work. The whole album is good. Yes, it has a 90's vibe to it but that's when it came out. As I listened I kept thinking...these could easily be Boyz II Men songs. The Boyz were huge in the mid nineties so that says a lot. Vocally, it's their strongest and style wise, their most mature. I think the biggest mistake they made was releasing "Dirty Dawg" as the first single. It's my least favorite. I think they tried to hard to prove they had grown up.Anyway, If you Go Away is an amazing track. I also love "I'll Still be Loving you" "Girls", "Mrs. Right"...um never mind I like all of them. It's that good. Sad that to this day, people are still judging them based on music and marketing controlled by "the machine" and not the guys themselves. They are way more talented than they are given credit for. For a clip of "If you go away" live, check out Arsenio Hall, NKOTB on YouTube.
