EatonElectrical 3323856 5P1500RT UPS Rack, Mountable

UPDATE:STill rockin’ after 1-1/2 years !!!!Why did I pay 2x cost of a consumer UPS? Because I replaced so many of them within the last decade for myself and others. 100% satisfied with this EATON unit after using for 6 months installed in my Living Room Network Rack for Router/Modems/Network Switch/Xbox/HDMI Switches/NVR/DigitalSatelliteTuner/NAS/DVD player/AppleTV/Sony 60" Television/Philips Monitor -- power bounces during a storm and this unit keeps all our electronics steady as a rock -- if power goes out, Generac starts within 90 seconds, ample time for this UPS to keep everything up. Vendor answered my questions about shipping & the unit itself. Note: fans are loud for first 3-5 minutes upon first startup of the unit, then quiet inside the network rack after that.

We have tried various models from APC and this model from Eaton for our branch office small server rack. So far, the battery from Eaton last the longest.

After plugging in, charging battery, power-cycling, and testing failover, found that unit would not power devices on battery along, though the unit sure thought it was. Confirmed all settings (segments ON, etc), updated firmware, and continued to test for a couple hours. In the end have to call this investment a wash.It's possible something may have occurred in transit via UPS (UPS via UPS.. punny), this may have just been a faulty unit to start, or someone else's return (I did notice that the segments were in OFF mode when I first verified settings which seemed odd).Honestly, the extra star is really for Amazon returns and I would give this one star based off my initial experience with the unit, but will say the interface is easy to work with, designed for rack or stand alone setup, and overall design of the unit is nice.Regardless, will be purchasing another one and updating my post... hoping the next one is plug and play.Some other general notes:- Unit is a bit loud, so this is not something you'd want in an open room, but then again if you're purchasing this you probably have a server closet of sorts.- Eaton software was easy to work with for firmware update and resetting all settings.- Comes with RS232 console cable and USB cable.- A free screwdriver was a pleasant surprise (they're looking out for those who aren't prepared).Anyhow, will update once I receive a new unit

Excellent UPS. We've been having quality issues with APC SMX1500's lately which have led to servers going down because of relay weld faults. We decided to try Eaton based on positive research. No problems yet with the Eaton.
