How to adjust the length of the rope.
The media could not be loaded. You can adjust the length of the rope by removing the cap at the end of the handle, push the rope into the handle so the end comes out and you see a small cap on the tip of the rope. Separate this into two parts and you can slide the rope through them. Push the pieces back together and slide the end of the rope back into the handle. Put the end cap of the handle back on. If you want, you can cut off the excess rope when you are sure it's the right length.

Mature man new to jumping rope!
The media could not be loaded. I’m a 56 yr man working to stay fit by changing up my workout routines. I’ve seen many videos of people using jump rope as a cardio exercise along with strength training. I’ve tried a few different ropes but Amazon Basics has the best fit for my hands, smooth feel as it rotates and glides under my feet across the floor with ease.Highly recommend!!!

I use this in my garage several times a week. I'm 6 ft and didn't cut it at all. It's a good length and is a great rope.
