4 month road trip tested
I bought this cooler for a 4 month road trip in western US. It definitely didn't hold ice as long as I was led to believe. It has a slight gap between the cooler and lid when closed. Hard to tell if the seal is doing it's job in this scenario. The locks seem kind of flimsy, but have not broken yet. This cooler would be worthless if one of the locks broke as it's not an air tight seal when its shut. I ended up buying the gate shelf thing which worked well, wish it was a little deeper though. The ability to hold ice varied tremendously depending on conditions. In an average of 70-80 degree weather, this held cubed ice anywhere from 3-4 days. Then I started using the blocks of ice. This lasted about 5-6 days.I love the rope and molded handles. Both make it easy to carry even when full. Also really liked the tilt on the bottom inside for water to drain more easily.I was worried at first that the drain plug may not be watertight. I'm pleased to report that it's very watertight! Wish it would have some kind of strap holding it the the cooler when the plug is unscrewed so it doesn't get left behind accidentally.

Held ice for 3 days, not even close to 10
So 24 hours before my trip and loaded 14 lbs of ice into the Engel cooler, sealed it and didn't open it until 24 hours later. I then removed all the pre-cool ice and threw it away, loaded it with another 15 lbs of frozen water bottles (frozen for over 2 weeks in the freezer) and my already chilled food and beverages. I went on a 3 day trip in 75 deg weather, and kept the cooler in the shade 100% of the time. By day 3 80% of the ice was melted. After I got home I left the cooler closed and by the end of day 4 the water that was left over from the ice melt was no longer cold. The cooler was opened a max of 6 times per day for 15 seconds max each time. This cooler has not lived up to the expectations I had for it, should probably have ordered a different model. I should have either spent the 50 on a cheap colman or spent the 400 on a better model.

PERFECT! Love it
PERFECT! Love it. Used this cooler for 6 weeks of camping (winter time) in the deserts of AZ and CA. It worked flawlessly keeping ice for over 7 days and all our food cold for an additional three days due to the ice cold water remaining with the limited ice remaining. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. I also loved the ability to lock the cooler and, if used with a cable lock, can be locked into the back of a pickup truck and will remain safe and secure. BEST cooler I've ever owned or used!!!

Good not great.
After a lot of debating I opted for this cooler due to the dimensions, tie down points and optional basket/divider accessories you can get. In Colorado summer (July) we got 2-3 days of ice retention mounted on the back of my SXS opening the cooler regularly. I was happy with my purchase at this point and felt I made a great decision until this past weekend. In the Texas Summer heat (July), mounted on the back of my SXS, we were lucky if we got half a day of ice retention opening the cooler less than in Colorado.I have seen other complaints of the latches breaking easily, I could definitely see this as they are made of mostly plastic and any side force will surely stress them.Overall the cooler serves its purpose and will make due until I find another brand with the same dimensions and capacity of this cooler. The price point helps to ease the disappointment we experienced this past weekend, had it been priced like some others I've seen I would of surely returned it.

Best I could find
Better than coolermaid & sportsman. Not as good as Canyon Coolers or ORCA coolers. About ties with Yeti. Cost is hundreds cheaper than all 3 also. Very easy to clean.Only complaint - is look at the website. The 50quart is the one you want. Better outside & inside dimensions than the others. I got the 35 quart because it was <$200 & I couldn't get the 50quart on sale anywhere. Wasn't worth $100 to get the 50quart. 50quart is what I would recommend though in Engel's sizes. In my hot truck, in the hot summer sun in southern TN (windows are tinted with suntek cxp - 60% solar rejection)Keeps wet hotel ice about 2-3 days. Keeps store bought ice about 4 days.If you don't pre-cool beverages - you will eat 10lbs of ice bringing them to temp. This is a simple thermal equation & would happen in any cooler.

Work well, white is difficult to clean
Good Coolers, Keep stuff cold, i have both the 25 and 35. Only issue with them is that they get dirty easily and don't clean up well. at the end of the day it is a cooler and doesn't need to be pretty, but these are a much bigger investment than the ol' coleman and i was hoping to keep it nice. In the future i might go the tan route as that should be easier to keep clean.

Nice ice chest really
Nice ice chest really. Be aware though that it does state that it will keep things COLD for 8 to 10 days. Not that it will keep ice for 8-10 days. So it does keep food and drink cold, but you wind up draining off the water at least every other day. I use it every day for work and it works well. I keep it in the back of the truck where it gets to bounce around with the rest of my stuff. It is holding up well. It's a decent size too. It can hold twelve bottles of water, two bags of ice and two sammies with room to spare.

Buy it
I have a 35 and a 65 both are great. Real world tested on a boat in the Florida keys. Full of beer with ice thrown on top you can open and close it all day as you grab a cold beverage and it will keep ice for a couple days. I can leave ice from Sunday and come back on Wednesday and find a good amount of ice and cold beverages inside while sitting in direct sun for most of the day. Buy with confidence

Excelente producto
El único detalle que encontré es que el espacio interior es muy reducido.
