This is the tenth Peter Pauper Press "Rescue Kit" I've purchased from Amazon. I have bought them for myself and as gifts for others. The little kits are whimsical and fun.The plush animal is very tiny. Some people have written reviews for other kits in which they have expressed disappointment at the diminutive size of the toy. If you know what to expect before purchasing, then I think most anyone would be charmed by these little kits that are big on imagination and whimsy. :)The unicorn in this kit is approximately six inches tall. She's very cute with sparkly hoofs and horn and snow-white fur and fluffy little mane and tail.The tiny booklet that accompanies this magical little foundling is adorable with simple and sweet illustrations and delightful information about caring for your adopted baby unicorn. Also included are naming suggestions, a checklist of possible magical abilities, and a page to enter your pertinent adoption details to make it all official. :)Obviously, this kit is perfect for an imaginative child, but it will also charm any grown-up who still harbors a childlike sense of fun and fantasy. :)After purchasing myself one of the Bigfoot Rescue Kits, my tiny baby Bigfoot was promptly stolen by a grown male friend who keeps it on the dash of his car! :) I gave one of the Dragon Rescue Kits to my employer as a little Christmas gag gift, and she loved it! I gave a Yeti Rescue Kit to each of my grown sons, as a sentimental reminder of all the holiday seasons we watched Rudolph befriend the Abominable Snowman on TV. :) These kits are cute and fun. :)In my opinion, the Unicorn Rescue Kit has one of the most adorable and enchanting books of all the kits. But maybe I just feel that way because I love unicorns! :)A great go-along gift with this kit would be a very small crystal prism. (Read the booklet, and you'll see why.) ;)If you want someone to keep your new unicorn company, the Dragon Rescue Kit is equally adorable! :)I love all of these little kits and recommend them highly! :) As an imaginative toy for children or a precious little collectible for grown-ups, I give five magical stars for this item!! :) *****

Smaller than expected

Ladies and gentlmen,I know $10 may seem like a large sum for such a tiny toy, but let me tell you... that doesn't matter to a kid.My wife bought this unicorn one year ago, today. As her birthday present, we let our daughter throw "Baby Alicorn" a birthday party. Her gifts were (because an Alicorn is supposed to have wings) TWO sets of wings and.... ANOTHER UNICORN! Now she has a sister.I have spent money on everything you can imagine, from classic cars to home repairs. Never has $10 brought so much joy to my household. Baby Alicorn is our constant companion and as much a member of my family as I am. As a thanks to the folks who designed and distributed this wonderful creature, I present to you: Baby Alicorn and Moonstone with their new wings (no judging, they're made out of popsicle sticks, hair clips, armiture wired, walmart feathers, a lot of hot glue and a few blisters. And glitter. Lots. Of. Glitter.

The unicorn is super cute and soft. The book though, ay, ah, ay, ay, couldn’t y’all just draw a unicorn jumping over a field of flowers?! All this make believe of feed him this, and he’ll do this doesn’t fly with kids now days. I had to make up a story, which was fabulous, as I was pretending to read this weird book. Next time just sell me the unicorn without the book. K? 4 stars because the unicorn and box it came in are cute but the the book was odd.

Got this for my niece, she went crazy for it! It is a super cute unicorn with a care guide and a birth certificate. Totally worth getting for your kids. I was a little bummed by the size, it's the length of my hand, was expecting a little larger. still a great gift.

It's small! Much smaller than I expected, but maybe I missed the dimensions in the description. I do wish the unicorn was bigger; it fits in my step-daughter's palm. Overall, the little girl is very happy and excited!

I was expecting the unicorn to be a little bigger. It was the size of a baby board book. But my daughter and her friend love them so I can’t complain too much.

We originally purchased one of these as a gift for our 6 year old niece. But it was our 10 year old niece who fell in love with it. She was vey gracious about her gift (an adult style coloring book/journal) but we could tell she really loved the unicorn.So we bought this for her for our next visit. And she loved it. She loved the little story and the adoption certificate almost as much as the plushy itself, I think.

Cute little plushy with little book... Only was a lot smaller than expected... And for the price not worth it.

Bought this as a present for a friends birthday, and they loved it. Absaloutely amazing. although I imagined the size of the toy being a tad larger.
