Therm-a-RestProlite Plus Self-Inflating Camping and Backpacking Sleeping Pad

Super comfortable, compact and easy to deal with. A travel buddy I use on the plane, in the waiting area, even at home on my recliner when I need more back support for back pain!

Very well made. The heat reflective factor definitely works - you can feel it. I'm a side sleeper and worried that by hip would end up sitting on the ground - but it doesn't. Very good support. Surprising for how thin and light it is. Takes no time at all to blow up. Very happy.

Living in rural Idaho, I'm constantly enjoying the outdoors. This therm-a-rest pad has been my saving grace. I've used it during fire session while staying on the fire line, I've used it while camping and hiking, plus I've used it at home to just lounge. The compact design is perfect for and pack and bag. Plus, its amazingly light weight. I really enjoy how this sleeping pad provides with cushioning and helps keep me warm. This pad is my main go when I head out for this hills. I like them so much, I actually have purchased 3 of them and given them out as gifts. They have taken huge amounts of abuse and I haven't had a single problem. Love it!

I bought 2 and had to send one back because it did not self inflate at all and what's the point of buying self inflatable mats if they don't work. Replacement didn't inflate real well either but a few extra puffs and it was fine (I had to give the other mat that I kept originally a few puffs as well, maybe this is how all self inflates are). I left them both nflated for a couple weeks and laid on them several times to be sure they didn't leak. They seem to be fine. I plan to go on a 4 week backpacking trip this summer so I am hoping they can take being inflated and deflated daily for that long. I found the mats to be comfortable. Oddly I bought 2 regular sized mats but one is longer than the other, but since I am using one and my husband the other I took the shorter one.

I really like how small it packs up.

I have yet to use it, but I tested out to make sure this is what I wanted. It's easy to blow up with a few breaths (I didn't want to wait to allow it to self inflate), and it deflates fairly easily, rolling back into the shape it came in. It's easy to roll up and put back in its stuff sack (which is what I hoped for).For reference, I'm about 5"4 190lbs and I did't touch the floor when I lay on the inflated pad.

Absolutly love this. Perfect size. Great for ultra light backpacking. I purched for my husband. He has used it on several trips in all sorts of terrain. Would recommend.

This mattress was comfortable, lightweight, and compact. It lasted many backpacking trips with no problems whatsoever. A true 5-star product.Then my dog decided to wake me up. One swipe of his loving mongrel paw and the mattress was no more. And now I find myself shopping for a reliable patch kit...???Of course I don't expect any lightweight air mattress on planet earth to withstand this form of extreme K-9 abuse. But I have to wonder why Therm-a-Rest doesn't automatically include a patch kit with the mattress... seems reasonable, right?

Ce matelas se gonfle super facilement (il faut ouvrir la valve et lui laisser un peu plus de temps la première fois). Il est très confortable, je ne sens pas le sol lorsque je dos dessus.

For the second time in the last six years, I've invested in a thermarest and regretted it. Both times the glue that holds the fabric to the foam interior has failed, making the mattress bulge out when being inflated. Both times it has caused huge problems when I was in camping in pretty remote areas of first Canada, then the USA. These are not high quality products, just high price, and relying on a reputation that no longer holds up to scrutiny. I replaced this Prolite whilst on the road with a cheap Coleman alternative, which performed flawlessly and was very comfortable - just a little heavier. I'd rather have the extra weight than the doubt and the problems.
