A: Recommend using 12x17 inches heat shrink bags.

**Q: After shrinking, Will the wrapping itself stand up to shipping through the mail services?**
A: Mmm, entirely situational I would say. It is pretty tough material, under normal circumstances I would say yes(?). But if you have a business riding on it, I wouldn’t gamble.  My experience with them is that small holes form in the plastic when heat shrinking. They are priced well enough to seal an item, but as far as sending it into the black hole that is USPS, I would insure by using secondary packaging. 
Basically, if the USPS was reliable enough to know they wouldn’t inflict damage on it, I would say yes. Once the material is torn or cut, it isn’t that hard to destroy the rest of it. If it’s within another package, you’re golden.

**Q: I have a 5”x 8” paperback book that I want to ship and protect.  Will this 7” x 10” bag do the trick?  Will it bend the books corners?**
A: I think it would help esp if you seal it with a sealer then go over it with a heat gun so I would say yes it would protect the book for sure

I bought these shrink wrap bags mainly to package some handmade items, and they’ve been doing exactly what I needed. They’re really easy to use — you just slide your item in, hit it with a heat gun, and the bag shrinks down nice and tight around it. It doesn’t take much heat, and the wrap comes out smooth and clear. The plastic feels thicker than some other shrink bags I’ve tried, which is a big plus.
