LG MAIN-494759 Electronics Tone+ HBS-730 Bluetooth Headset - Retail Packaging - Orange

Love this. I had one- but the ear bud was stepped on and cracked. I ordered the newer 750 module and didn't like it at all- mainly because if the placement of the buttons and it kept dropping out. This 730 is much easier. Sound quality is great. I took work calls on the back porch and no one heard birds, planes, ect. Love the music to phone to music feature...

Happy with this purchase. Of the 10-12 headsets I had tried, the LG HBS-730 has been the best.Pros:1. Battle life is outstanding, commonly giving me 8-10 hours of music and talk time combined throughout the day. Rarely do I have to worry about charging it other than its nightly charge2. Having the base of the headphones around your neck really helps keep track of the them. It is very easy to get used to this and forget it is even there.3. The microphone quality is as good as you're going to get unless there's a microphone next to your mouth. Nobody has complained about the quality of the mic.4. Call quality is great on these. Nothing more to be said about that.5. The magnets that keep your headphones attached to the base are a nice quality of life touch. Often I wear only one earbud and it's nice to know that the other one isn't dangling all over the place.6. The notifications it gives are nice, especially the very low battery notification. Most headsets give you between 30 seconds and a minute to charge whereas the LG HBS-730 gives you what seems to be almost 10 minutes. This is great.Cons:1. No matter what orientation I put the earbuds, if there's wind, there's a whirring or buzzing sound because of the wind hitting the cables. It's due to the cables themselves but unless I have an incredibly faulty headset I don't know how anybody is not complaining about this. If I go running I hear it as soon as I move faster than walking speed. I no longer use these to go running. On the bright side they stay in place while running.2. Build quality. I've seen this mentioned many times before and unfortunately I seem to have broken my power switch through daily use. Actually it's not broken, the power switch part that normally would turn the switch on and off has worn away, so the switch moves from On to Off and vice versa but it does not touch the switch. At this time I have to turn on the headset with any long, sharp object that is small enough to fit into the hole the power switch once filled.3. After charging the headset, while still powered on, the headset will not leave its sleep mode. This is especially an issue for me as I would like to not have to use a mechanical pencil to turn my headset Off then On every time I charge it but alas I have to at this point. There does not seem to be any key combination or key hold to wake up the headset which is a shame because even when the headset is turned On but not connected to a device for a period of time, it has to be switched Off then On.4. The range of this headset is quite bad. Walking maybe 10 feet from the device it's connected to results in robotic and tinny sound. I have used headsets where I was able to walk down the hallway and into different rooms with good clarity.

I have wanted a pair of these forever! I bought a set of black ones for my daughter's boyfriend for Christmas. I paid more for them, but thought they wee a good price, they had good reviews and I hoped I had chosen wisely. He absolutely loved them! We had a hard time getting them off his ears!I had received an Amazon gift card for Christmas because my son knows I love Amazon and can always find something I want. I had a budget so I started looking.I was shocked when I found these a month or so later. I wasn't crazy about the Orange color (I am pretty conservative as a general rule and things that stand out aren't usually my style) but they were significantly lower than the same pair in general colors of black or white. They were also the exact same make and model I had gotten for my daughter's boyfriend! I have yet to be disappointed with anything about them! I have always had problems with my hearing and not only is the sound excellent, but they are comfortable, the earbuds block out extraneous noise and the battery life is amazing! There is also a voice everyone you turn them on that tells you the battery life and if it is ready to pair or connected!I actually found that I love the Orange color for multiple reasons: 1) I know they are mine because no one else has that color like with black or white. 2) They are easy to spot if I lay them down somewhere since they don't really blend in. 3) I can find the color very easily if I put them in my purse! These are very high quality! You won't be sorry!

I purchased this headset in January and within two weeks the on/off button broke. I handle all my electronics with care so I couldn't understand why something so new would break so fast. I contacted LG Electronics and I was told to send it back to them so they could replace it since it was still under warranty. I put the headset in the mail the next day and it took them TWO WEEKS to send me a new one. Here it is April 22nd and the same thing again. I have already talked with LG Electronics again and it will be the same process. Putting this headset in the mail today. I guess I won't have this product again for another TWO WEEKS. These were nice when they worked but this is annoying to me because I have owned several bluetooth headsets from Plantronics and they all lasted a long time after serious wear and tear. I'm about to look at Plantronics products right now. Don't buy this headset unless you want something that is always breaking then you have to do without it for a couple of weeks because the company is so nonchalant about replacing it. THIS is why I ALWAYS buy Square Trade Warranties, because I'm sure the next one I get will break after the warranty is over then what? I will use my Square Trade Warranty to probably buy another Plantronics headset.It's now October 15th and LG has had my headset over a month and still not returned it. A supervisor was supposed to call me back but never did. I'm now on hold with the company for 30 minutes. If you notice they don't respond to reviews like other companies. They make subpar products and don't care about making the customer happy. As this is the FOURTH replacement, they should be happy to give me an upgrade or a refund. But they just don't care. If it was possible to give this company no stars, I would. One of the worst decisions I have ever made in my life was buying this piece of junk. Next step, Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General.

Ok I don't love the color too much but this is the 4 pair of lg headphones of this series I've purchased, I love them.Best feature 10 continuous play I've tested it many a work shift.All the buttons are very tactile and most importantly the power is a two way switch, no hold for 3 seconds nonsense.Sounds quality is good and noise isolation is very good. These are workhorse headphones not audiophile.My only complaint is they aren't the best when lying on your back, as they fall off. Not a design for just simply a trade-off you get with the design.

The media could not be loaded. REVIEW UPDATE: On/Off switch no longer works. It needs to be pushed in order to turn on or off and as seen in the video, it now slides and doesn't even turn on or off. Defective after 4 months? Ridiculous.

Using it no more than 2 months,it broken!!

It's great, not much else to say.It works flawlessly with my phone. It did give me some flack the first couple times I paired it. This may sound silly but I think my phone had to get used to it? Now it auto-pairs correctly just when i turn it on and doesn't disconnect. So if you have some issues with it when you first get it let it go through about 2 or 3 charges before you call it broken.When I connect it to a computer however it seems to have issues. This has been with multiple desktops and laptops. It's almost like the memory in it overfills? Something weird catches and the sound starts coming in bursts. Turning it off and back on fixes the issue short term. Fortunately I got it with the intention of using it with my phone primarily so it doesn't impact me too much.
