The description says "sold as each", so it's just one.

Can this be used as a keychain?

Sure...it would be on the large side for that (my guess is a 2 inch diameter), but it would stand out in the bottom of a purse :).

Are these like Koosh balls?

Yes! That is what I use them for. We play a game on my classroom Smartboard with them. They didn't last long, though. Two of mine fell apart after about two years.
