Very dim light
I really like the design of the flashlight and that it uses a Makita battery. However, it produces very little light and I would be better off using the light on my cell phone. It is very disappointing to have to return this flashlight. This flashlight produces less light than a $2 LED flashlight from home Depot.

Very compact light
This light is great for a service HVAC tech or electrician or plumber or home imspector etc. Very compact and has a super long battery life. It fits nicely in the tool bag and is very lightweight. People who right poor reviews dont understand its purpose. This is NOT a 100000 lumen super bright job site flood light. The only thing it has to brighter than is your iphone. This thing is PERFECT for any service man. Just like every tool, big or small, has its place and purpose so has this little light. 5 stars.

OK, but with some shortcomings that make me wish I had gotten a different model
Compact and at 500 lumens, bright enough as a worklight for close work. I would have given it 3 stars but the on/off switch on ours is extremely stiff. My wife can not operate it and I really have to work hard to. Another weakness is that there is no pivot base so it can't be aimed. I have to prop it up on something for it to be useful as a task light. Other than that we like it for work and for camping where general illumination is good enough.

Nice additional light source for home and garage,specialy if you have more Makita tools with batteries,Small in size and seems durable!

This is great, however I should of purchased the DML801 instead. I will end up buying it, and I am sure I will still not regret having this one as a secondary.

not as bright as i thought especially for an 18v led light its like having a 5$ hand flashlight

Not bright at all
I m huge fan of makita tool but dont buy this light i have the small makita 10,8v too and the small one in very more bright than this one I have waist my money ...
