Boring Recipes
Recipes are uninventive and banal. No pictures. Better to just use your imagination.

No pics !
I was disappointed that there are no pictures so you can see what the finished food is supposed to look like.

Remedial cooking
I had hoped for recipes that focused on the unique advantages of air fryers or the Breville oven, rather than a general fast and easy recipe magazine. Nothing special here.

No pictures?
I kept this book for the many recipes offered but the lack of photos didn’t allow a 5star rating.

Question if these are actually air fryer recipes
I bought this cookbook since I have a Breviille Smart air fryer oven and know very little about air frying. There are many recipes that seem just like regular recipes (such as Hot Curried Chicken Wings, scallion and cheese sandwich) There are no pictures, no forward from the Breville company - and it is not listed to buy on their website. While many are nice recipes, there does not seem to be an awareness of the effect of drippy sticky coatings on the air fryer basket or the inside of the smart oven. The Parmesan Coated Chicken cutlets stuck to the basket and the only way I could get the coating out of the mesh was to take the basket outside and spray it with a power nozzles. I really don't think this is an official Breville cookbook, or even an Air Fryer tested collection of recipes.

No photos and missing recipe ingredients
Without reviews, it's difficult to find cookbooks with photos and good instructions. This book is lacking in both. There are a lot of missing steps and ingredients in this book. I do not need a photo of every item, but some photos would have been nice. It is also not the healthiest cookbook, as noted by others. This is being given to charity.

No nutrition information
I just received this cookbook. The recipes appear to be good - but there is no nutritional information. I bought the air fryer to cook healthier meals, and need a cookbook that helps me to figure out what is healthy and what isn't.

Could have got on pinterest instead
While the recipes are full of good ideas they are often incomplete with lack of attention to detail. I was really hoping there was more guidance with use of various pans and set up but the vagueness leaves it up to interpretation. Also the sections are very unorganized.

American measures. No pictures. No index. Way too expensive.
I bought this book as I have just bought a Sage (Breville) smart oven (which is brilliant for small meals and air frying for 2 of us), and I just wanted some more recipes other than those given in the book available on the Sage website, and also some guidance on how to use the oven so that I can develop my own way of using it.First, as this book was printed by Amazon in GB, I assumed (erroneously) that it would have British measures. My fault, I should have guessed it would be American because it says Breville, not Sage, in the title. Annoyingly the book gives measures in cups and with hindsight I must assume US cups (different quantities from UK cups). Who measures onions in cups? Surely how much in a cup depends on how finely you chop the onion! Nor is there the courtesy of a conversion table anywhere in the book. I get really cross at the arrogance of authors who assume that their way is the only way, especially when selling internationally. I have yet to find an American cookbook that even considers European measures; credit to the Australians here, who always give conversions. The book says on the cover that is a ‘cookbook for beginners’ and it certainly is. Useful as a guide to getting accustomed to how the oven works, but no more useful information than that in the book download from the Sage website. There are no pictures, which is awful for a cookbook of this price. There is no index – again for a cookbook of this price this is vital. If I want a recipe that uses aubergines (not necessarily a main ingredient), I need to be able to go to ‘aubergine’ in a proper index at the back of the book, not have to trawl through a whole list of contents. The book doesn’t give any nutritional values – which frankly every cookbook these days should have to give. At least calories/carbohydrates/fibre/fats/proteins.The book is also badly edited, e.g. on p.31 the ingredients list doesn’t include sugar, but the directions tell you to mix the oils, sugar, and garlic. On p.44, the paprika chicken breasts recipe lists cheese in the ingredients but doesn’t tell you what to do with the cheese in the directions. For some reason there is no degree symbol in temperatures – just 320 F, not 320°F – why is this?Very American. Apart from the cup measures, on p.22, the crispy onion rings recipe calls for a package of cornbread mix – no idea what this is in the UK? Similarly, on p.32 the ingredients call for ‘bread cheese’ – what is this? All in all, this book wasn’t worth the paper it is printed on, way too expensive with no index, no pictures, no nutritional values, only American measures for ingredients, and sketchy editing. 99p would have been a fairer price.

American addition. You’ll have to convert all temperatures.
Lots of interesting recipes photos would’ve helped. The fact that this is an American addition means you have to convert all oven temperatures which is a little inconvenient.

A well written support book for Breville smart air fryer ovens
I purchased this book after I discovered that the Breville smart air fryer oven I purchased did not have any included recipes with it, unlike my other Breville compact smart oven (non-air fry). The book contains numerous recipes, mostly designed for the air fry function on the Breville ovens which have this feature, however there are some which use the Bake function. As this oven was purchased in advance of a planned move [the air fry oven is in storage at the moment], I cannot comment on any of the recipes. It appears to be well written and logical in ingredients and directions. The only aspect of the recipes I found missing is that some of them do not indicate if the air fryer basket or another cooking vessel (e.g. tray, baking dish, etc.) is to be used. I look forward to trying some of the recipes when I get moved.

value for money or not
In my opinion, the book or should I say booklet is of help to anyone who has not used a Breville Smart oven but it does not give much more than the free download pdf's from the web for using the cooker. For the price, I was expecting a lot more recipes and far far more on roasting dinners. Mediocre book
