As an active person who has been sidelined as a result of a ruptured Achilles’ tendon, I have been very motivated to find things that will help me continue to live my life while I am in this frustrating situation. As a result I have ordered many products that I have ended up returning because they really didn’t solve the problem.In search of the right surface for me to continue to be productive while laid up, I tried a bed tray (Large Size Laptop Tray Desk NNEWVANTE Bamboo Adjustable Table with USB Fan2 Foldable Breakfast Serving Bed Tray) which I returned...too slippery, too awkward. High quality, greaI design. However, it still wasn’t quite right. I was looking for something I could put my computer on and then easily put it aside to get up out of bed. That was the disconnect with the over bed table. Even though it’s very well-made and very functional it still needs to stand right where you need to get out of bed. As a person with mobility issues at the moment, pushing it out of the way is a big issue.I decided to make one more effort and ordered the Sofia Memory Foam Lap Desk. It really is perfect. It’s comfortable because of the memory foam. It’s got a nice big surface. And the bumper at the bottom is the perfect size. It serves both to prevent your laptop from sliding off but also as a wrist pad. The little mini light is also very convenient. I’m honestly thrilled with it.

I am a writer and after spending an hour looking at affordable lap desks on the internet, I chose this one for several reasons.1. The classy dark walnut-like top. It is easy to clean. I have a 12-inch laptop and that leaves a little more than four inches of space on each side of my computer, which is perfect for a cup of coffee or glass of tea.2. The wrist rest is durable and just firm enough not to be annoying.3. USB light is handy in the car. It also tucks in a little pocket at the top so you don't lose it.4. The slightly recessed inset on the bottom makes it feel like its an extension of you, rather than having to balance it and deal with the corners of a rectangular desk.5. I like the tray in the back for my tablet, phone, pen, candy, whatever.6. The carrying handle comes in very handy as well.This item looks exactly as it appears in the description and it came quickly and well packaged.

I work from home...even before this whole pandemic thing. I often find myself sitting on the couch working, which puts you in kind of a hunched over position while working on a laptop. Which of course over time can give you quite a backache.I initially had a tray table sort of thing that I got that had legs on either side that would go over my lap - it was OK, but I had trouble getting just the right angle, and it would tip often. And it didn't really alleviate the back posture problems for me. The search continued....I came across this item and had left it in my cart for a long time, deciding about it. I don't know why I waiting so long, because this is AMAZING! Received it mid-work day today, and started using it right away, and could immediately tell that it would improve my working comfort.I got the Deluxe version. I was on the fence about which version to get, but decided on the deluxe. I don't have a tablet, but the tablet slot honestly doesn't get in the way at all...its like its not even there when I am using my computer. Even if you are using this as a writing surface, you still have plenty of surface area. The wrist rest is a nice touch - it's non-obtrusive and does add a nice little cushion when in typing position on my laptop. I doubt I would miss it if it weren't there, but it is a nice little add-on for sure. And the light! Oh my goodness, I actually really like the light, like it a lot more than I thought I would. I connected it to the USB on my computer right away to use it (I haven't tried the battery compartment in the table yet). But it makes a huge difference on eye strain, even when working in a lit room. It's just enough to put a little light on the keyboard area.I can already tell just in the short time that it will make a huge difference on my working comfort, so I had to share! I highly recommend this if you are trying to decide. The surface is a great size that is comfortable for my 15" laptop. I don't use a mouse, but there is plenty of room if you would like to use one. The height and angle is perfect to give me a better sitting position so I am not hunching my shoulders over. Oh the back relief! Go get one!

This product is one of the best purchases I've made for my home office. The size is perfect for my laptop and I still have room for a mouse. The comfort factor of being able to sit outside and work, lounge on a recliner chair, or basically "bring my desk" with me is a huge bonus to me. The weight is just heavy enough to stay put and not get blown away, but not too heavy to cause my legs to fall asleep. The LED light poll is a nice bonus with the batteries nicely stored and tucked away inside the bottom cushion. There is also a handy, non-bulky sleeve built into the bottom cushion too for the light to be stored in while in travel. Finally, there is a handle, solid cloth stitching that makes carrying this an easy task with out the fear of the handle ripping away from the unit and causing it to crash to the ground. I paid full price for this thing and I would buy another one if I needed a 2nd. Worth it.
