I had bought another smaller dovetail then I got this one. It worked flawlessly. It would have worked flawlessly if I was using a proper milling machine. I went really slow and was able to get the desired look I was going for. It was almost knife edge sharp. Overall it got the job done.

im sorry about the confusion,on my part i didn’t read the description on the part at the time i ordered it i only seen the pick of the part an it said 3/4” x 60 degrees an asumed the milling bit was a 3/4 shank like in the pic but when reading the descriptions it said 3/8” like the part i received its a very good quality tool an i will buy it again sorry for my confusion again

I used the dovetail cutter, as shown, to cut the dovetails on a lathe toolholder.

Over all they looked ok but the carbide wasn’t ground to the axis of the shank which gave terrible cutting results. Not sure how this could have happened other than no quality control

This milling bit works very well on the Al6061 I'm cutting. I haven't tried it on steel yet. It cuts very nice if you don't push it too hard.

Cuts metal, works as expected in my lathe with a milling attachment.
