The Problem of Earthbound Spirits Explained
The world is going through something that it has never experienced before in history, which is the amount of earthbound spirits that inhabit the earth. These spirits were humans who, because of their lower state of consciousness, did not go back to God when they passed away, and instead stayed on the earth plane. Many of these spirits had addictions negative personas while they were alive, and now seek to "feed" off those same negative experiences through a human. They can become trapped in a person's energy field. The symptoms can include prolonged sadness or depression, anti-social behavior, being argumentative, changes in personality, physical pain, illness, fatigue, bad dreams, feeling suicidal, among other things. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn more about earthbound spirit attachments. I would also encourage anyone experiencing these symptoms to seek out a qualified spiritual healer who works with God, as energy healing is not enough to remove these attachments. Many blessings!

Unique & Logical! It’ll pique your curiosity & open your eyes
VERY INTERESTING! I’ll start by saying: I love psychology. I love personal development books. I’m very into: therapy, prayer, support groups, 12 Steps, etc. I generallyya believe in paranormal & psychic phenomena—mostly due to personal experience. However—believe it or not—I do keep very healthy skepticism & doubt. There is a lot of B.S. out there. It’s *not* Woo-Woo Hippie-Dippie crap. I’d recommend this book to someone with the mind of a *researcher* who likes facts, long term study, yet told in a mostly narrative format. Even if you just read it for the interesting stories! The point of the book *isn’t* to persuade you to believe in the afterlife, reincarnation, or ghosts, etc. it’s surprisingly rather objective. It’s a compilation of case studies & showing results. Her intro says [in a nutshell, my own paraphrase] “I myself am still not even 100% certain I even believe in possession of spirits; it really can’t be fully proven or disproven while still alive. BUT this method of freeing people—from the alleged assumption of having destructive spirits attached to them—via this hypnosis method, it somehow works.” So, take your doubts with you. Don’t abandon your logic, she doesn’t ask you to! It’s not any of that “just be positive; shift your perspective” watered down stuff you’ve already read. This was a very unique book, honestly. It’s short too. I could hardly put it down, and did actually read the entire thing!! Which says a lot for me—ha! I sometimes lose interest easily halfway thru books. This is one of those that stirs up a healthy reminder of: what’s often most influential over our thoughts & behavior, are things we can’t always tangibly see...

Fascinating book, actually! Worth the read.
In her psychology practice, Dr. Edith Fiore created some impressive regression techniques which resulted in clients' profound healing from lifelong traumas. She said she wasn't 100% certain she believed in spirit possession, but her results were undeniable. I found accepting these ideas transformational, which alleviated my fears on the subject. I recommend you do a clearing on any 2nd-hand book you buy, with the understanding that previous owners likely purchased it because they thought they or someone near them was possessed! I didn't think about this until after I had a few uncomfortable experiences. Reiki, Sage and prayers cleared them. You can read it for entertainment, but I'd take it seriously, if I were you. Peace.

Well written
This was an easy to read book. Not overly scientific or too wordy. It's been a long time since I have read a book from cover to cover. Partly because I get super sleepy reading and also a lot of books don't hold my interest all the way through. The case studies were great and there are tons of resources available for use. This is a great starting point to research human spirit possession and attachments.

If it works for the patient and makes him/her feel better and perform more healthfully in society
I was very impressed with The Unquiet Dead by Dr. Fiore. My sense is that she did her research carefully. She lists some 80 references in the bibliography, and appears to have had extensive experience with the subject of spiritual entities confined in human bodies. She writes carefully, as as a professional in the field. As a professional myself, practicing in hypnotherapy, I have little quarrel with what she has written. She does not take a definitive position on whether spiritual "possession" exists, but uses it as working hypothesis in working with her patients, which I view as the responsible thing to do. If it works for the patient and makes him/her feel better and perform more healthfully in society, then that's a responsible position to take... Charles Reinert ND, PhD

No Hypnotherapy Instructions
If you have an open mind, you will very much appreciate the information that you find in this book. The chapter "How to Do a Deposession" was of great interest to me, however her instructions were disappointing as she provides no instruction on how to initially prepare the mind (your own or another person's) for using them through hypnotherapy. In all the cases she outlines throughout the book she describes how she first brought her patients into a hypnotic state before conducting her therapy. Is there another book (from this or another author) that anyone can recommend that provides this instruction? Thank you.

Alcohol in the spirit world?
Enjoyed overall with interesting stories and points.Found it disturbing that she considered the possessors and not possessed her true clients. She expected the possessed to feel the same way too even as their lives were turned upside down. She told earthbound spirits that if they wanted it alcohol, tobacco and sex were in the spirit world. How does she know this? She doesn’t say.She called people “rude” who try to force out a spirit or see them by their bed and demand the spirit leave.Take her expertise with a grain of salt in my opinion.

A worthy buy
Very simple easy to follow techniques. The knowledge came in handy when something unexpected cropped up during a regression therapy with a client.

Un libro perfecto para entender este tema
Muy buen libro para comprender el tema de la obsesión espiritual. Es menos práctico de lo que esperaba, pero aún así merece la pena leerlo. Llegó en perfecto estado.

Life after death, what then as per Meek's analysis?
This book reveals uncommon aspects of life after death through hypnosis of people suffering from presumable personality problem, but in fact, their problems may arise from earthbound spirits possession. This concept is somehow different from demonic possession by the fact that depossession can be achieved by psychologist and even by oneself. Quite an unusual subject that involves paranormal, religious and scientific human concept. Highly recommanded to anyone curious about the continuity of life after the biological death of the body. 5-star and even more!
