Well made, moderately priced, very light, very sturdy - an outstanding running shoe.
After literally hours of research between 8-9 shoe brands, I narrowed it down to these, the Salamons or the Hokas. All of the representatives were knowledgeable, asked good questions and gave good feedback for my particular needs, which were a good cross-trainer, as I walk and run in every outing, as I grow to more running than walking. I also needed a shoe that could easily adapt to changing terrain, as I run on concrete, paved roads, gravel roads and dirt trails all in the same outing. And finally, I did NOT want a show with a drawstring lace. This may be the new fad, but I see it as something that will just wear out in less than a year and replacement 'laces' are expensive. So, with all of those requirements in mind, that is how I shopped for my new pair of running shoes. I also wanted decent cushioning, not perhaps as much as the Hokas brand, but a decent amount without adding weight or that clunky feel with thick bottomed athletic shoes. The cushioning on these is perfect. As an aside: as a former Nike customer, I can say with full confidence now that Nike shoes are garbage. (Sorry, Nike fans). This Merrell All out Charge is the lightest, most comfortable running shoe I have ever owned. It effortlessly adapts to changing surfaces without a hitch. And as an added bonus the tongue is sewn to the shoe on the inside right, so it never slips to the left or right. Very nice. I can't say enough good things about this shoe.

Wanted to love these, perhaps a better fit for a narrow foot
Right now, I have 6 pairs of Merrell shoes in my closet that I wear all the time. Merrell shoes are well made, long lasting, and seem to wear forever. When I go on a trip that involves lots of walking I make sure I have a pair of Merrells packed. I was really looking forward to receiving the All Out Charge Trail Running shoes. I paid a little extra for the bright color, and it looks really good. The reviews said the shoe ran a bit large, and I found the opposite. I usually wear a 10.5 in Merrells unless I want a thicker sock, so I ordered the 11 thinking a hiking sock would make it about perfect. Unfortunately, the shoe ran very small. It wasn't so much a problem with length, it was the overall roominess of the shoe. I tried a thinner sock with it, and it was still too tight to comfortably wear out running. I think the arch is good, and there seems to be good padding, but my foot was too cramped. I am returning these, and I might try a mens size, which would definitely give a little more room in the shoe.

Better than expected
I just purchased these and I have worn them several times since with no problems at all. I wear a 7.5 m and ordered that size after reading the reviews. Generally I would get a half size up for socks but it is notNeeded with this shoe. It is lightweight, comfortable, and suits my purpose for walking and exercising. I ordered the black and purple and it isn't as ugly as pictured. Lol. Totally satisfied.

Beauty and great support in these shoes
These Merrells are great. They are comfortable right out of the box, and the very first time I wore them I kept them on the entire day. I love the color: black on one side and kind of shimmery purple on the other side, with the colors crossing on the back. You can always count on Merrells for gorgeous laces, and these are especially beautiful. The tongue is attached on one side, which makes putting the shoes on a bit trickier than a tongue that isn't attached like that, but it's still good. These shoes give excellent support, my usual size 7 fit me perfectly, and my orthotics slipped right in. I already love these shoes, and I know I'll get a lot of use out of them.

Pure Bliss For Arches
I just started running regularly every week. I've made it up to 3 whole miles, and as someone who has plantar fasciitis and fallen arches, my feet were killing me in the usual brands of running shoes. Since I wear Merrell walking shoes (because I don't need orthotics with them), I decided to try Merrell's running shoes. As soon as I put my foot in these, I swear my feet sighed with relief. They are bliss! The fit is spot on for me.

Comfortable shoes with good arch support
First time I bought red ones a couple of years ago and I have been wearing them almost every day. True to size, lightweight, comfortable, excellent arch support. First they felt as they were a little bit narrow but in a week that feeling went away. A month ago I oredered the second pair in blue. Nothing bad has happened with the first pair, they just got worn out inside. I still wear them as well, they didnāt fall apart after two years wearing!I would recommend these shoes. I really like them very much.

... colors on these shoes were cute and would be fun with jeans
I thought the colors on these shoes were cute and would be fun with jeans, Capri's, dressy sweat pants. I have a therapy dog I volunteer at a children's hospital with and we walk the patient area for 3-4 hours with no rest time. I was having a problem with a lot of my shoes making my legs tired and stiff. Not that problem with these shoes. Have been great for prolong walking. I have a wide foot and these have fit great. The shoe tongue attached on one side makes the shoe more comfortable by helping it stay in place. I can't believe this Merrell style isn't in more stores local.

Love 'em
Great fit; good arch support, plenty of toe room without being 'too big', snug heel. Tread is perfect for trail. First time use was 11.5 miles, no blisters or discomfort. Will buy these again

I walked 80km in these bad boys!!!
I am so pleasantly chuffed with my purchase! Arrived as promised the next day. I was about to partake in an event, called Trailwalker, which involves walking 100km in under 30 hours over very hilly terrain (the South Downs). With seriously crappy weather forecast and only 1 pair of 5 year old walking shoes (also by Merrell) to wear, I panic-bought these in an attempt to switch around pressure points and avoid blisters. I ordered them half a size up from usual as I knew my feet would swell up on the walk. I have wide, flat feet and have found Merrells fit me very comfortably. I only planned on wearing these trail shoes for the first 20-30km, but actually ended up wearing them for 50km, before switching into my walking shoes for 20km. I accidentally stepped into a bog, soaking my walking shoes through, so switched back to the trail shoes for the next 20km. They look good and they are so comfortable. Other Trailwalkers would've thought I was mad for wearing brand new shoes on the day of the event, but they did better than I could've ever hoped for. Highly recommend.

Great vegan trainer
Great vegan trainer. Iām a dog walker and needed a quick drying trainer as boots and wellies are too heavy for walking all day and were causing leg and knee pain. Super comfy and light, perfect fit, great grip and I would imagine brilliant for trail running too.

Recommended - comfortable and fit well
Used for two 10Ks so far - both of which advised trail shoes. Very comfortable and did not cause any blisters or any other issues. Used them for a parkrun and then did the 10Ks in them. No issues. Very happy with my purchase. Some other runners were slipping in just trainers, but I felt very safe underfoot.

Really pleased with these trainers I have a bunion on one ...
Really pleased with these trainers I have a bunion on one foot which makes finding footwear difficult but these are proving a good choice š I did order 1/2 size larger than I normally would just to give a little more space but I would say true to size

very happy with these
Really excellent trail shoes, only issue is that they are full of muck after the run but i guess tjat shows tjey are working and the deep grips have so much more space to hold muck. I looked for asics but they were a bit expensive when i looked so i checked google a trail site recommended adidas, merrell or asics. These are proper trail runners and not just for man made managed trails
