Fantastic Unit for the Price
For $8.99, I was looking at this purchase only as a test case to see how well everything connected etc. between my macbook pro and my Bose Wave CD player with no Bluetooth. I figured that once I knew that everything worked well, that I would invest in a more expensive receiver with better sound quality. But this one is doing the job very well, and I'm perfectly happy with the sound quality. I did some quick comparisons with this, plugging directly into the minijack, and I don't notice a huge difference. True audiophiles probably would, but a true audiophile wouldn't be using Bluetooth in the first place. The battery life is pretty good, although I usually have it plugged in. Even the latency isn't that bad when I'm watching youtube videos, etc., although I'm sure that the small lag would be more of an issue for gamers who would want things like an aptX codec in their receivers. All in all, I'm very pleasantly surprised with this and would recommend trying it before investing in a more expensive receiver. Quick addendum: sometimes when the unit is plugged into the USB power and has automatically powered itself down after some time, it's a bit glitchy to switch it back on. Simple fix though. Just unplug from USB power, switch it on, and plug it back in. Hope that's helpful.

Works well for my wireless headphone purpose.
This device is amazingly small, slightly smaller than a chapstick. Don't know how they can cram a Bluetooth receiver, headphone amplifier, and rechargeable battery, along with two connectors and three buttons in that small volume. :-) I bought this for wireless headphone listening from my TV using the Bluetooth output from an Amazon Fire TV Stick, and it works well for that. I've had it on when I walked into another room, and it kept working at about 30' away and through a wall. I didn't test the sound quality with music, but it's clear for TV dialog listening. Once paired, It connects automatically when turned on. I got over 6 hours of battery time before it stopped. This is some less than the advertised time of 8 hours, but I think that's due to the extra power it takes to drive the low-impedance headphones. The 8 hours may be if it's connected to a high-impedance input, such as an audio amplifier, but 6 hours is more than enough for my purposes. The only minor negative, is that I can't use its buttons for volume control, since they somehow generate a return-to-program-beginning TV signal on the Stick, but that's not a problem since I found I can control it from my Stick remote volume control. Note that the supplied small instruction sheet is in Chinese, but the instructions on its Amazon listing are in clear enough English.

Cheap, too cheap to bother returning, otherwise I would.
I have at least two other devices like this that I've used for most of the past 2 or 3 years to convert some nice wired gaming headsets into bluetooth headsets for use online. I love them, but after a few years, battery life is shortening, so I'm looking for new options (as that model is no longer made). I thought this was a reasonable option, but it's really not. Pros: Small form factor, pairs with most bluetooth sources, comes with converter. Cons: TONS. Battery life is quite short (under 3 hours). In stereo mode the sound is nice, but there's upwards of a 2 SECOND DELAY, making it worthless for anything but listening to music. In headset mode, there's no delay, but it sounds like the audio is playing through a wet cloth. This isn't just mono, so the mic can use the other channel for return bandwidth. It's also cropped on both the high and low end, making it sound muffled and dull. So those are your choices: Reasonable but delayed stereo audio, or muffled mono with no delay and a mic (on device). I'll note that I tested this with at least 3 devices, including a phone, a laptop with BT3, and a desktop with BT5. All three had the same issues. None of these issues are present on my other BT receivers with the same sources; all others provide reasonable audio in mono/headset mode with no delays. So it's not the transmitters or drivers doing this, it's this junky hardware. TL;DR: Unless you're using this JUST for listening to podcasts or music, skip this one. If it were more expensive, I'd bother with returning it. But it's frankly just more hassle that it's worth at this price.

Chinese voice prompts
It works pretty well overall. Sometimes randomly disconnects. Lately, I left it on and the battery was completely dead. After charging it for a while, I connected it to my tablet only to find it's voice prompts in Chinese? I spent way too much time looking for instructions to change it back to English. Holding the power button forever got two different flashing light patterns with different voice prompts. Releasing the power button after hearing one or the other (I don't know which) I got "English" vice prompt. Your mileage may vary.

Inexpensive, Effective, and Durable. A Great Value for the Money.
I work in a noisy environment. I need to protect my hearing, but I also like to listen to audiobooks and podcasts while doing long, repetitive tasks. I'd tried two other Bluetooth solutions before buying this item. The first, a set of Bluetooth earbuds, worked great for a few months, then suddenly refused to connect. I went through the whole pairing procedure several times, with no success. At $90, they were rather expensive to last such a short time. Next I tried earbuds (https://www.amazon.com/ISOtunes-Headphones-Cancelling-Waterproof-Ultra-Durable/dp/B07789XNCV/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8) which I highly recommend, and a separate Bluetooth receiver. The earbuds worked great, but the receiver died in one month! I replaced it with this receiver. I keep my phone on a charger on my workbench, and clip this receiver to my shirt pocket. It has substantially greater range than the other two receivers. Battery life is somewhat less, but at this low price, it was no problem to buy a second receiver, so I always have one charging while I listen to the other. Six months later, it's still going strong.

Great small gadget to have!!
This small wifi earphone jack has made my life much easier because has stopped my wife from having fights with me because I watch my series when she is sleeping, so whith this small thing, now I can live in peace with her and believe me that having peace wioth your wife is something very important in life!! Also, I bough a few of the same type of items but the quality was not good because the wifi conection was bad, the quality of sound was terrible and the baterry life was short, but specially this one hasn't given me any problems until now and I have iused it for more than a half year, so hope it will continue to work as until now, so I highly recomend it!!

Works great great price
It works great, battery lasts a long time and I use it to turn my amplified speaker system with 3.5mm (headphone plug) input, into a Bluetooth speaker system for my cell phone.

doesn't connect to my headphones
The little 3.5 mm auxiliary adapter doesn't fit the plug to my headphones - Audio Technica ATH MSR7. That's the main reason why I bought them. Doesn't work unless I plug it at the other end of the cable, which doesn't make sense. I got it to have a wireless headphone.

Seems to connect via Bluetooth, but fails as a sound output Device
The included instructions were for a slightly different version of the Device. Presumably it has been updated since these were printed. It paired with my iPhone and appeared as a connected Bluetooth device however attempting to connect to the device as an AirPlay sound output just fails. You get to hear a beep through the headphones but thatโs it. I tried it separately with headphones and an amplifier, and none of them worked. I tried changing the Bluetooth settings to recognise it as various headphones and car stereo connection types, but they all failed to produce sound. Like another review I quite enjoyed reading, this thing does seem to be a waste of perfectly good atoms.

Not perfect
Well, for the price I can't complain. But battery is very low, barely reaching 3 hours of listening and sometimes you have to twist the jack connector to have sound on both earbuds. Usable but do not recommend.
