But in a good way. Here, let me explain.They are super comfy on the feet. They feel like your foot is wrapped in feathers. But the bottom is made up of some kind of memory foam covered in a very soft material. My feet are VERY flat so I use custom soles sometimes so my knees don't get sore from doing work around the house but I wish I didn't have to with how amazing the sole feels.One thing to beware of is the size. I have a size 11 foot and the chart says I should need a XL. I knew this was a bit odd when I ordered them and sure enough they were too big. The airline I typically fly for long, international flight recently redesigned their slippers provided to the passengers and now they no longer fit. I bring these with me in my carry on and they work perfectly. Also use them when staying at hotels rather then the hotel provided slippers. Your feet sink into the soft, cushioned memory foam for an extremely comfortable fit. This also keeps them snug on your foot. The little lip on the heel was the risk/reward. I didn't want the high back slipper but the no back slippers just left your foot to slip out. But the little rim on the back of these slippers is just right for keeping the slipper on your foot. The top is thick and soft, not hard stiff but stiff enough to keep its shape. Very warm all around.
