I just assembled this bookshelf yesterday. The instructions were clear and easy enough to follow. The packaging was solid enough to survive shipping without damage (an issue with other online furniture purchases for me). As a fan of solid wood myself, I would like to point out that every piece is particle wood with a very thin veneer with the exception of the back which is hardboard. Every shelf has a trim piece attached to the front edge which I suspect will give it support from sagging under weight over time.My main concern is the veneer which I suspect if a cold sweating drink was placed on it for any amount of time, that the water will end up penetrating the veneer causing those awful blisters you get with cheap veneer.Overall, I think this is a little better than your average particle wood shelving you'd get from Target or Walmart, but if I was part of the purchasing decision, I would have gone with solid wood for a little more money.

I needed a bookcase in my sewing room, to hold all my quilt making books, supplies, etc.Here are the things I love about this bookcase...-- It's heavy and sturdy!-- Each shelf holds a max of 45 pounds!-- The instructions were so easy to follow! I'm a 62 year old grandmother, and I was able to easily assemble this bookcase by myself, using a cordless drill/screw gun to assemble it. Just make sure you assemble it near a wall so that the wall can hold up a side while you assemble it. ;)-- The parts are in individual packages and numbered, so there is no guessing what part goes where.-- Nothing was damaged or missing, so I am one happy camper!-- This is a BEAUTIFUL bookcase. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.>> There is only one thing I could call a "negative". They provide tiny screws to attach the back onto the bookcase. The screws are so fine and tiny that you need a very, very small philips screw driver. With no pre-drilled holes provided, it was impossible for me to screw them into the back of the bookcase. That said, I fixed the problem by simply hammering the tiny screw into the back of the bookcase, using them as if they were brad nails. They're so fine, they hammered in easily. ;) Hammering them in worked great.If you're looking for a beautiful, affordable bookcase, don't hesitate to buy this one. :)

This bookcase looks perfect.If you are considering buying this particular piece, I can highly recommend it.It arrived in excellent condition and wasn't too difficult to put together and that was excellent.I now have both a desk and bookcase from this same furniture manufacturer and I am very satisfied.One needs to avoid using chemicals or water to clean. A dust cloth should be sufficient, in most cases.I am a very satisfied customer. Bookcase is easy to assemble and looks just like the photo. I had hoped to leave off the particle board backing so the wall showed between the shelves, but it was really flimsy that way. I don’t love the way it looks with the back panel attached, but it’s much sturdier with it attached. Still fairly wobbly, but ok for the money. I bought the matching laptop desk, which is very sturdy and nice looking.

This came today and was in use within 2 hours. I (52 yr old female) put it together myself - pretty easy and instructions were very good. This looks much more expensive than it is - and I thought the color on screen matched the color I got (Bing Cherry) Oh - and everything was packaged very well so that there were no scratches etc. Glad I picked this one!

This was is easy to put together, did not have to access the videos. However, the back is not wood, and some of the nails were missing along with the covers. What I did not know was this is suppose to attach to the wall. I did not do that and had I know I would have order a different bookcase. For the money, this is ok, it also has a weight limit of 45pds. This will not last for what I need.

I wasn't a fan of the pricetag on this but found an "open box" on Amazon that saved me a ton. Even then, it was pricey. But I liked the look online and wanted it. So glad I did. First, this was probably the easiest assembly experience I had in years. Bush put each step of the install on a full 8x11 page. Diagrams were clear. Second, it's a beautiful design. Third, it's VERY sturdy. I think the two side walls were solid wood. It was so tough that I actually bent a three of the nails trying to put the back on at the end of the install. Excellent quality. And fourth, one of the shelves had a nick in it with the laminate gone. I called Bush and spoke to a live person within 30 seconds. Replacement was sent out immediately and I got a FEDEX notification that very day. Great product and great service. Pleasant surprise.

BOUGHT THE 48 IN DESK AND FILE CABINET TO COMPLETE THE SET AND THIS WAS THE LAST TO OPEN AND ASSEMBLE, I WILL SAY I WAS SURPRISED AT HOW BEAUTIFUL THE COLOR, QUALITY AND STURDINESS OF THIS COLLECTION WAS WHEN OPENING AND PUTTING THE OTHERS TOGETHER. A VERY WELL MADE SET FOR THE PRICE. LIKE I SAID THIS WAS THE LAST OF THE BOXES I OPENED...FIRST PIECE I PULLED OUT WAS SNAPPED AND DANGLING OFF ITSELF, THE BOX WAS IN HORRIBLE SHAPE UNLIKE THE OTHERS AND JUST TAPED FROM SIDE TO SIDE ACROSS THE TOP, SO I BELIEVE THIS WAS A DUD AND LACKED THE PROTECTION NEEDED FOR WHATEVER FALL/DROP THIS THING SURVIVED. CURRENTLY WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT TO ARRIVE AND HOPING FOR THE SAME QUALITY AS THE OTHER BOXES RECEIVED. AMAZON HAD ITEM PICKED UP AT DOOR NEXT DAY AS PROMISED AND HAS SHIPPED OUT A NEW ONE . I'D STILL SAY BUY IT IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A BEAUTIFUL OFFICE SET.
