I love this Velcro cone! I bought it for my 5 month old, stray kitty. She had to have emergency spay surgery for a Pyometra , a lump removed from her thigh, and an umbilical hernia repair, in one week, with 3 different incisions. The first cone I bought had plastic tabs that were difficult to line up & took a lot of time to put on, causing her some stress. This cone is so easy to use! The Velcro is strong. She hasn’t tried to pull this one off. She’s a little over 8 pounds and her neck circumference is between 8.5 & 9 inches. She probably could’ve worn the small, but I decided to buy the medium and it works great! Should she need it in the future, there’s plenty of room for growth. It’s a bit opaque, not clear, but I find this keeps her calmer. She’s recovering in a 36 inch crate and doesn’t try to run out when I open the door. I take it off when she eats, drinks, & uses the litter box. She’s funny. She seems to believe she can only walk backwards and lay down when wearing it. My Veterinarian says that’s a good thing!

My cat is an angry escape artist. He has gotten out of so many harnesses and is the most resourceful cat I've ever met. I did not have high hopes for this cone, but I was desperate. He mangled his ear and after cleaning it out it looked like a giant crater. What started as a small scratch turned into something much worse because of his handy paw work. This cone has kept him from scratching and has worked wonders. He does not seem uncomfortable in any way or I would have pulled it off of him. He's even able to sleep with it on with no discomfort! This cone has saved me a vet bill. I don't know exactly what the stickers are for, but I did get them.

Bought the medium size, and as you can see, it is 5 inches long, not 4.7 as the description says. It's still too long to allow my dog to eat with it on. Otherwise, it works fine.

I've had it on my cat for a little les than a week. She hates it, but that's not really the point.The product has a velcro connection, which, unfortunately is not as sturdy as you would hope. My cat was able to remove the collar once (mostly because I put it on a bit looser for her comfort). However, the collar is a bit too long for a cat, as she cannot eat with it on--the collar interferes with her reaching the food bowl. Because of this, I have to take the collar off to feed her and, in doing so, I've found that the velcro that holds the collar together has begun to tear from the collar.For the price, it's not bad, but I would not recommend for those looking for a long-term or multi-use situation, since the construction does not seem tp hold up to removing and reattaching multiple times.

I purchased this after my cat got a small wound on her back that she worsened because she couldn't stop licking.I was hesitant to purchase at first because there was some back and forth in reviews about the size of the cone. I purchased the medium and it fits both of my cats. One is an average sized female cat. The other is a slightly over weight female. The cone is adjustable and should adjust to fit most average size cats.The cone is secured with velcro but my cats were not able to remove it once it was on.

I bought this for my cat who had acne on his chin and needed to use an ointment. My cat is medium sized, but I bought a large size. Still, the collar was tight. This item is very rough and heavy, the Velcro doesn't work very well and my cat was free of it in less than a minute. I just made a return.

I bought this cone to replace one I purchased from the vet after my cat's surgery nine days ago. My cat got out of that cone and it wasn't comfortable for her. This cone is so much better! The velcro closing stays put, the cone is transparent, and it doesn't seem to bother her like the first one did. She has been wearing it for six days now and has another week to go. For those interested in sizing, my cat is 15 pounds so I bought her a size Medium. The cone was almost too large for her.

Easy adjustment and safe well made. And he sleeps like a baby. 5 stars across the board.
