I needed a nice, fat bristle brush to stencil letters on wood without over blotting and having to touch up a lot. These brushes work well. The dense bristles will require vigorous scrubbing after lettering. But a good, used tooth brush takes care of that!

The brushes leave a trail of hair

I wasn't a fan of these. It was like using hay to paint.

The first time I used one of these, I was washing the paint out of it and it came apart. The bristles came out of the handle.

Seem well made

When I opened the box I was very surprised at how small these brushes were in reality. I had thought they would be bigger, like the store brand I had bought a few years back at the local craft store when I jumped into chalk painting furniture. I have not used these yet, so I'm not sure how secure the bristles are, but on the positive side, I would think that having smaller brushes like this would be easier to wield and maneuver in whatever your craft use of them. Five stars because they were a decent price for three different-sized brushes, despite their petite size, and I didn't have to leave the comfort of my home to procure them.

You get what you pay for. Bristles come out and they do not maintain the stiffness you need to stencil.

These would be good for beginners but I needed a better quality for stenciling my homemade cards.
