Pruven P-BAS-24 Bitter Apple Spray with Trigger Spray, 24 Fluid Ounce

I got this for my rats so that I could deter them from chewing their cage liners. Guess what? It says if it's ingested, it's toxic and you need to call poison control.Who would buy a product that's TOXIC to deter CHEWING? It's ridiculous. Won't be buying this again.On the upside, it smells nice unlike the other kind I got, which smells like rubbing alcohol... and since rats have sensitive noses, I don't like that one, either.

We have two German Shepherd pups 14 weeks old. They are into EVERYTHING! I sprayed this heavily on the rim of the wastebasket, on my son's flip flops, the legs of our tables, & several other things. They licked everyone of those things until the bitter apple was gone... it did not deter them at all! I'm sure it works for some breeds but not GSDs!

My dog likes to chew on the doorframes in the house, and I sprayed this on them hoping she would stop. Before that I'd tried hot sauce, but all I accomplished was that now my dog enjoys spicy food. The same seemed to happen with this bitter apple spray...it hasn't deterred her at all. But just because it didn't work for us doesn't mean it won't for you.Large bottle, so if you have a big house, it's definitely a good size.

I only had to use it once and she understood NO. - But she is still a puppy so will keep spray handy

not sure if they spray doesn't work or wears off too fast but it does not deter my puppy from chewing on ANYTHING!!

The cap was not on tight and half the product had leaked out and the box and packing were soaked and the box was even starting to weaken due to the wetness.

We tried everything to stop our Doberman from eating her dog beds. We were replacing dog beds almost every other week. Finally I order this product and doused the new bed. Not only did it not discourage chewing, I think it actually encouraged it. Don't waste your money if you have a dog that is OCD and chews when they're bored. Maybe it's just my dog that was the problem, but it did not work for us whatsoever.
