These 2 watt LED bulbs are just fantastic! I had the old 25 watt incandescent/filament bulbs previously, on a bayonet string of forty bulbs, so was consuming one kilowatt of power - just insanely wrong! Theses replacement LED’s use just eighty watts total by comparison and they are a beautiful colour and perfect brightness for garden festoons! I’ve bought a spare box too, just in case I damage any whilst putting them up, or taking them down, during summer evening barbecues, although they look and feel sturdy and really well made. I can highly recommend!

Good value for the number of bulbs that you get. I was surprised at the minimal packaging (ie no protective partitioning between the bulbs, and no marking on outer wrapper to indicate ‘ fragile’). Surprisingly no bulbs were damaged in transit although one bulb in the batch failed to work. However, I am pleased with overall performance so far, and have in fact ordered a further set to hold as spares.

Perfect little bulbs and no worry about them breaking as they aren’t glass. Still give off a really decent warm light. Will be buying more from this supplier in the future.

Great product

I purchased these to replace the older style, less energy efficient lamps. However when I fitted the new ones only a few worked.It turns out that the new lamps are slightly shorter, this means that the water proof shroud was holding the lamp off the terminals.I had to ease both terminals up, on every lamp holder, quite boring ! Once this was done, they worked perfectly. They give a goodlight, that is more effective when in total darkness. I have only had them on for 15 to 20 hours, so time will tell.The old lamps have been used since 2001, for Christmas and Summer Bar B Qs, fingers crossed that these do as well.
