While you do need a kettle to heat the water, we've found that our electric kettle works perfectly, and a gas one should do just as well. We love this process for our morning coffee. We think this process makes a difference in the quality and taste. Make sure to preheat your cup with hot water and empty the hot water before pouring the freshly made coffee into the cup. Would buy again.

I got this pour over coffee maker for my boyfriend over a year ago, and it has been a hit. He’s turned into a bit of a coffee snob, and this lets him have total control over the process. The stainless steel filter is still in great shape after a year, and it makes really good coffee. I like that the glass carafe is easy to clean, either by hand or in the dishwasher once the wood sleeve is removed. The capacity is generous, and the included measuring spoon is a nice touch. You can even keep coffee warm on the stove on a low setting, which has been handy. The only downside is the wooden sleeve. It has stained over time and doesn’t look nearly as nice as when it was new, though it’s still functional. That’s the only reason I docked a star. Overall, it’s a great choice for coffee enthusiasts who enjoy the ritual of brewing and want full control over their coffee. It also makes a thoughtful gift. Solid 4 out of 5.

This has replaced our "old fashioned" coffee maker. The quality of the product is as advertised. It's easy to clean and keep coffee warm for a good while. My wife says it is the best coffee she's ever had. I don't know what else to say about it.

Bought this for my partner after he got a bean grinder for Christmas. Pretty easy to clean but you need one of the brushes that look like they clean toilets - but specifically for dishes (wouldn't recommend using your toilet brush on your dishes). Only downside, the bamboo/wood piece around the center doesn't seem to come off, or at least doesn't seem to come off easily. For that reason I haven't been able to clean under it, and I just try not to get it wet. Perfect size for one caffeine addicted person, I am not a hot coffee person so the amount is perfect for him. This could probably satisfy two normal coffee drinkers. Design is slick - I think it looks really nice on our counter.

I like the metal filter more than the carafe itself. I felt the carafe was hard to pour. So I started using my old carafe from my drip coffee maker. It works better in my opinion and pours easier. The carafe I’m using has minimal plastic, only on the tip where it pours so I’ll take my chances. I also keep it warm on a countertop stovetop and keep it on low

We love this little Cosori drip coffee maker. I hand grind organic beans from the local co-op, use natural springwater unfiltered for taste, and the centerpiece of the whole production is the glass cosori drip maker. This cost about 60% of what a Chemex cost. But the real reason I have been happy with it for the last two years is it hasn't broken just by bumping up against something. The Chemex is a lovely piece of glass art, but it's entirely too fragile. I had two in a year's time that broke, and I'm not an especially clumsy person. I do the dishes and clean the kitchen and make the covfefe around here. And the Chemex was so fragile I was almost afraid to handle it or wash it. Whereas the Cosori: I bumped it a couple of times against our granite countertop. I know the Chemex would've broken either one of those times. But not this one. So a great good buy, two years of use, the wider gripper even fits which it did not on the Chemex. So what's not to like?
