Lovely watercolor pencils that are great for super saturated colors.
Love all the colors. I’m pretty new to watercolors and one of the hardest things I find is mixing up the right color especially is you want a vibrant pastel color. I dipped the tip of the pencil in water to get super saturated colors and used a wet brush against the pencil lead for less saturated. They blend better, obviously, when applied with a brush. I did a painting of azaleas from a picture (shown in the top part of the photo with my painting below) using only these pencils, brushes, water, and value-priced watercolor cotton paper (I don’t know if I’m allowed to put a link, but if you search for “cotton watercolor paper bulk” on Amazon, you’ll find it). Also, I arranged the pencils to match the chart on the inside of the box. For some reason they were somewhat organized by color but not to match the lid so it was a bit difficult to find the color I wanted until I organized them, but it was an enjoyable project.

Awsome choice.
These are versatile and can be used dry or wet. Great if you rub wet brush then on to paper. When they say expert I agree loads of pigment great value for the price. They are beautiful, and durable . They are able to hold a sharp point and don't break. Very happy with them.

A good addition to my art kit.
I'm by no means very talented in pencil art, water color or not, I prefer oil paint as a medium, but these were good pencils for practice/ visualization for projects in a bit less permanent or expensive format. I have used professional grade pencils before, and these are not quite that despite the label. They definitely come off more as maybe apprentice level? But they do well and I have no complaints. It was good to practice something a bit unfamiliar, and I definitely enjoyed the color range.

Great selection of colors
I was thrilled to receive my Arteza watercolor pencils. They came in a metal box sorted by color number. I use them to color Adult Coloring Books. I don't usually use water with them, but I like the hue. They have great coverage and smooth coloring. I'd definitely buy them again.

Decent Watercolor Pencils, But Not Perfect
I’ve been using the Arteza watercolor pencils for a few projects now, and overall they’re decent, especially for the price. The colors are vibrant when dry and activate fairly well with water, though some shades perform better than others. They blend nicely with a bit of effort, but don’t expect professional-level results. The pencils feel sturdy and sharpen easily, which I appreciate. However, a few of them are a bit scratchy on paper, and the pigment can be a little inconsistent. They’re great for beginners or casual use, but if you're looking for top-tier watercolor effects, you might want to invest in a higher-end brand.Overall, they’re not bad—solid for learning or experimenting, but they do have their limitations.

Decent Introductory Set
These were strangely organized, disorganized actually, so I put off using them. I finally took them out and swatched them. There's a nice variety of hues in most of the colors. Impressed by the black/gray range and the greens. They are moderately pigmented. The purples and blues seemed to perform a bit worse than the other hues, perhaps because of the white added to the pigments. They didn't cover as smoothly as the other pencils in the set. I liked that they were clearly labeled but need to find out how the star ratings work, as I've read discrepancies online. The pigment load is just okay. They are not nearly as vibrant as the mid-grade Art-Grip Faber Castells or the Supracolors, but they are a still a nice addition to my collection and have a unique range of colors not available in my other sets. There are a few of the yellows and a couple of the greens that are super-similar in hue. I purchased these over the holidays at a pretty big discount. If I were paying retail for them, I might opt for a 72 pencil higher grade set, but I do like them.

Best watercolor pencils I've tried!
I've tried other watercolor pencils before, and I've always had some issues that made me dislike them, so when I bought these, I was extremely skeptical. But they were amazing! They color smoothly and dissolve really well in water! They are my current favorite art supply that I find myself reaching for more than any other. My one complaint about these would be the packaging. They come in a really nice metal case, but inside the pencils are resting on flimsy plastic trays that are very difficult to remove from the case.
