Absolutely lovely
Works perfectly. Perfect size. Perfect heat. Love the 1/2 flat iron for short hair.

so far, so good
This is the easiest flat iron I've used. The curve shape is so much more ergonomic and easier to handle. I had no luck ever with any of the regular straight flat irons. My hair is fine but normal thickness and could never get other flat irons to hold it properly or get a good grip on it. This one is no problem. I do wish that it had the actual temperature instead of a number that's a range of temperatures but I can live with that. I have read several reviews that say this thing has a pretty short life expectancy but I haven't had it long enough to know that for myself.

A great little hair tool for short hair
I have owned and used this model of hair tool for 8-10 years. It’s lightweight, easy to use, great for traveling, and has the right amount of heat, although there is no adjustable temperature setting. Since I have fine, moderate thickness and 3” length hair, the 1/2” x 3” blades still lift, curl or straighten my hair with no problems. I just do small sections at a time. My original model is old and only operates on 110 voltage. Since I am going out of the country and need a dual voltage product, I ordered the updated model. Upon receiving the new iron, I did not see any instructions anywhere (on the product, box or enclosed instructions), as how to adjust the voltage from 110 to 220. Since I thought there had been an error in the voltage description, I returned the iron. Since then, and after much research, I discovered that the voltage is written in extremely small lettering, where the cord attaches to the device. 110/220 means that it is dual voltage. This really is a great hair tool, so the only reason that I rated it as a 4 star, was the lack of details and instructions pertaining to the voltage. Other hair tools which I own, have switches/buttons, which allow me to change the voltage.

The curving aspect help you flat iron better
I struggle sometimes to not bend the end of my hair when I flat iron or curl it, with this iron being curved, it allows me to get that perfect bump & have great soft body, because I have a pixie. It has a a light heat setting & a heavy heat, if you have thicker hair. I love it.

works good for curling hair
this in no way gets as hot as my other flat iron. I don't buy expensive flat irons - I'm too cheap. Most people use their flat irons too hot and damage their hair. you should only use really high heat if you have ethnic hair. So, my previous flat iron, that my daughter stole, got so hot. it worked so good, but damaged my hair so bad. I had to turn it down so as not to damage my hair so much. So, I get this one last night, plug it in and try to curl my hair - you know, flat iron curling, not curl iron curling. it does nothing, so I turn it all the way up and hit boost. My hair is very fine and thick. It curls wonderfully. but the temp will take a little getting used to. all the way up and with boost on (had to keep hitting it as it's temporary), it curled my hair well. took a little bit to straighten some of my kinky ends - my hair is super wavy in the back. But, I love how easy it is to hold and wrap your hair around it. If your hair is coarse or ethnic, I doubt this would straighten your hair. or it would take forever. but maybe that's a good thing, so as to limit damage from the high heat? I had a really hard time curling my hair with my other flat iron, but it's so easy with this one.

Great except for one major flaw
I loved the size and the weight of this flat iron, and it did a good job giving my hair a beach wave……..except when it would shut off, which happened constantly because of where the buttons are placed. That was just so annoying, and a major design flaw, that I had to return it.

As Good As Professional
I love everything about this flat iron. The curved style makes it much easier to use than traditional flat irons that are stick-like. It is also easy to use due to being lightweight, heats quickly and even has a turbo setting. There are 25 settings plus the additional turbo. I use it with a spray made to protect my hair from the heat, which also adds shine. I get so many compliments on my hair now. I had a professional flat iron that stopped working after 5 years. I bought this as a replacement thinking it wouldn’t be as good, due to the very affordable price. Was I ever wrong! This is especially nice for me as its design is ergonomic and does not flare my carpal tunnel as my professional flat iron did. I also love that it is made by Conair, a company I love and trust.
