Why would I give this 5 stars?
My wife and I have a local radio show in California and as we were going to be away for several weeks, I loaded up a little studio setup with mics. Only thing missing....2 booms. I meant to order 2 of these but only ordered one. It arrived and I have to say I was very impressed with it. Not a fully pro (expensive) item but completely functional boom with everything one might need for podcasting or whatever. It probably wouldn't support a large, heavy mic but otherwise it is great. Also loved that it comes with a mic clip and headphone holder. The second boom arrived the day of the show and it was partially disassembled with one missing critical screw. I taped the mic on and it worked well enough for the job. I tried to contact the seller. Website doesn't exist. Phone number is a confusing jumble of words followed by a beep. I left a message but no reply. So why 5 stars? This item is easily worth twice the price and I have to assume that the standard quality of shipped items is okay is there is little mention of problems in the reviews. Also, I was able to find a good replacement for the screw at the local Ace Hardware.

Not bad for a adjustable desk mike stand. Easy to adjust. Works just fine for what it use it for. Have had no issues. The best surprise is no surprise!!!!!

Best value for a mic stand
Unlike other mic stands this one is very sturdy and comes with all the accessories you'd need to use any type of mic. Fantastic value.

Just what I needed for small studio
My home recording studio doubles as a Zoom meeting station. I wanted something like this on the mixing desk to hold a mic that goes thru my audio interface for Zoom calls, but which I can fold and swing out of the way during production sessions. It's been perfect for that. I was a bit concerned at first that the threaded thing for the mic holder was plastic, but I discovered a metal one included in the box. Nice. I can't say if it would handle a large mic like everyone likes to show off in videos these days. The springs seem fairly strong so it might, if the mounting angle worked out. Also can't say anything about the headphone holder since I use the one on my desk. The one on the arm helps with cable management. Anyway, it's been doing just what I need for a while now. Life improved after I got it.

Meh to poor, but...it's cheap (in every conceivable way)
The metal parts are thin and fragile. Range of motion is good enough but not good or great or exceptional. Parts don't tighten in flexible ways (limiting your range of motion on one part to where the screw-thread stops naturally, not where YOU want it to stop). Also, the edges of some of the parts are not exactly sharp, but they're not dull. Brushing your arm past them can scrape skin off. The base (that goes into the clamp piece that attaches to your desk) is hard to rotate and the paint will flake off because there are no ball-bearings, no intentional joint there----it's just metal on metal. Really poor design. Don't pay more than $10-15 for this, and don't expect much. If you can handle that, you'll enjoy using it :) Holds a Shure sm58 mic without sagging.

Works exactly as advertised - great for office Podcasts
This works extremely well for my podcast mic attached to my desk. It was easy to install and works perfectly. Not sure if it commercial grade put for home Zooms, Teams, and Podcasts it works just great.

good product and works well but very over priced. Should only cost 20$ with shipping not 40$

Before I start my review, I'd like people to know that I'm using a Blue Yeti Mic, which is 1 Kg compared to other mics that are usually less than 500g. Starting with sturdiness, It isn't all too bad. It doesn't shake much when the table is hassled (I have 2 monitors on stands that visibly shake a lot more due to weight). Everything in my opinion is perfect for the price point. The only issue I find is that since it doesn't really support such heavy mics, you really have to tighten the arm. When I mean tighten it, I REALLY mean tighten it; it will make squeaking noises, but that's just from the metal tightening and rubbing against itself. Don't worry about damaging it. I really gave it a whirl and it's really damn strong. With <500g mics, it could probably hold its own very well. With my Blue Yeti, It's barely holding on. As long as you don't move it around too much, it holds in place really well, even when jostled around. Price to Performance, I'd say it's amazing. For $20, it does the job. I'm probably gonna upgrade to a stronger arm in the near future because of the sheer weight of the Yeti, But if you're mic is under 500g. This is perfect for you, as long as you can tighten the hell out of the arm. For it's size and thickness, I actually noticed it's much smaller than I expected. This is my very first boom arm and it's quite small and thin. This is actually perfect because it makes it more manageable, plus the light weightiness from being hollow helps with the weight issue that some people have with this arm. Note: Because it's hollow, Banging noises might cause a ringing noise, so you might want to add some sort of cloth to wrap around it if it bothers you, but it's over all not noisy. Note: You might have to retighten it if your mic is heavy. (Shock mount in photo not included with arm. If you're looking for the "connection nut", It's located on the condenser mic piece.) TLDR; Mic is perfect for those of you who have <500g mics. For the Blue Yeti, Tighten the hell out of it, it still works well. Mic is hollow and makes a ringing noise when you hit the table, but you can fix it by wrapping it with some cloth Arm itself is vert sturdy and has everything you need to get started. The movement of the arm is very smooth and will probably serve you a good 2-3 years if you treat it well. P.s. The 3 Straps are put together. I didn't notice until I originally submitted this review Edit: Be careful when you tighten the stand. There is a specific limit to how much you want to tighten before you start warping the metal piece. I ended up warping mine enough to the point there the actual mic connector piece fell out of place. I can't been to loosen and reattach it because of how much I kept tightening it, so only go as tight as you need it to. For any users with a heavier mic, I recommend you use a mic stand that can support 1 kilogram (2.2 lbs) so you don't need to deal with the falling of your mic, but it still works great if you decide to leave it as is or prop it upside down.

I wasnt expecting them to be so small cuz I've seen much bigger so i expected them to be big. Sturdiness: 9/10 →Why i gave it 9/10 is because it is sturdy but i feel like its so fragile that it could lose its sturdiness soon but i hope not Value for money: 7/10 →It feels so cheap but 19,99$ is a good price for one, even 15,99$ would have been better and I hope they don't raise the price Light weight: 10/10 →Super

I've been through 3 boom arms so far this year and they've all broken at the same spot. Right where the arm slides into the plastic mount that clamps on the desk. The problem I've noticed is that the peg that slides in the mount doesn't go deep enough, they bend and end up breaking over time if you have a heavier microphone. This one slides all the way in and I can't see it breaking as easily as the last ones. Glad I bought this model instead of others. Thanks
