I use many of these filing boxes in my office, and they are just the right size, and they seem sturdy with regular use. . However, apparently they are not sturdy enough for the travel from where they come from to my office .Frequently they arrive with cracked or broken off corners. The last time I ordered two sets of 4 filing boxes. One set arrived in perfect shape in a box labeled Sterilite. The other set arrived a day or two later in a plain box which was about an inch smaller, and three of those four filing boxes have cracked or chipped corners. There is usually one cracked or chipped corner in one out of every 6-8 filing boxes. I don't have time to return these large items. I will continue to use these filing boxes because they are excellent IF they arrive unbroken, and even discarding the broken ones, they are a bettrer buy than the more expensive filing boxes.

I have ordered this item in the past but used to be disappointed at how often some of the lids were shattered or broken. It happened because there was not something to buffer the shock upon the lids which were right up against the cardboard carton top ( or bottom ). Putting the whole carton inside of another carton with an extra inch or so of space seems to have solved the problem - which was great because it appears you can't replace the broken lids. Both cartons of 4 were fine. Good job !

I bought these to organize tax records. These kind of took me aback when I saw how big they really were. But that is okay. They are sturdy and will hold a lot of files. Standard hanging files fit nicely and the top edge will hold then in place and not leave me with papers falling all over the place because the top edge didn't keep them secure. The price is reasonable. I think I can get at least three years worth of tax records in one box. These would also be handy for storing any kind of documents that you want to hold onto for years. Because they are clear and have a marker label on the end it is easy to ensure that whatever you put into them is identifiable. This was a good buy. Amazon shopping for storage bins is certainly easier than wandering from store to store looking for the right size, shape and composition. I really do like Sterile products. They are inexpensive, but hold up pretty well over time.

I have bought several of these containers over the last 2 months and they are great for storing files, sweaters, photos etc. They fit perfectly side by side, on a shelf, or stacked. The square shape and square bottom is a plus. The down side is the lid. It fits nicely and in my experience has been sturdy enough to have 4 other full containers placed on top of it, however I received one that was cracked and broken. It was odd, because I purchased 4 containers and the lid that was broken was the 3rd one down. I don't feel that there was any way it could have been broken during shipping because the top one or bottom one would also have been broken. This leads me to think it was broken before it was shipped!! I have since read the experiences of other's who have purchased these containers and found that this occurs frequently! Apparently, you can not get just a replacement lid, so you're stuck with just the file container and no lid.

I sell books at a flea market and was using cardboard banker boxes. They were okay but over time they break down. I switched to these and they're very sturdy. They're easy to clean and the books look so much nicer. At the end of the season I can snap on the lids, stack them in my shed and be ready for next season. I'll probably end up buying more now that I know how nice they are. I won't have to worry about critters getting in either.

Only 3 of the boxes are okay, the 4th one had cracked corners. It was not delivered directly by Amazon and I have tried twice to report the issue, but there has been no reply. There is no padding in the corrugated box and it was probably dropped along the way. Otherwise, the boxes are fine for hanging files or as a storage tote.

These bins revolutionized my filing system. It's wonderful looking at them and knowing exactly which files are in that box. I use one for seasonal clothes. Roomate was pumped about the portability if we ever had to move. And the quality is really good, the lids snap shut nice, and they stack well.

I bought these boxes to store paperwork from my office, specifically to store my accounting binding cases (Letter size) which fit a little snug, but it works. The boxes have an inside lip that lets you use hanging folders inside which is convenient as well. The quality is good, sturdy, and the lid snaps on nicely. They arrived in great condition and I liked them so much that I bought two more packs. Great price.
