A black ops thriller with a twist
This is a fantastic read, fast paced, authentic, with action galore from someone you can tell has history in this part of the world. An avid black ops reader this one is unusual in the point it has a female lead which you don't see many of. Adair does a great job of giving insight into the main characters in the book and seeing them grow and change as the book moves along. Love the Elle Anderson character and her supporting cast and can't wait to see what the series brings. The book keeps you engaged and has some unique twists in the story that I didn't see coming. Great job and look forward to finishing this series. Bk 2 review coming shortly!

Great Read!
A.M. Adair is a Military Veteran who clearly knows what she is writing about! An absolutely fun read with great characters, awesome action and terrific descriptive violence. I will be reading the other books in this series for sure (already purchased). I highly recommend this book.

What a rush!!!! Great read!!!
This book is total action and I couldn't put it down. I love the characters and the story line and the incredibly fast pace. What a great team the author has put together, each with their own remarkable skill set, and each invaluable to the mission and each other. In every moment you feel like you're right there! Anxious to start Book 2!!!

Read This Thriller!
I loved this book for so many reasons. It’s raw, gritty, violent, and most importantly real. As someone who’s spent some time in that part of the world, it is obvious A.M. has as well and draws upon her experiences to paint a vivid picture. The book begins by jumping right into the action and never relents. The Thriller genre is filled with so many great protagonists and story lines, but if you’re looking for a new twist with the realism of someone who has walked the very streets her characters do then read this book! Well done and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

!
This book was recommended by my son-in-law. He said you are a friend from the military. He is in the Navy and stationed in Norfolk Virginia. I am glad he recommended it. I enjoyed the book very much and can't wait to read the next one. Keep writing about Elle and Tex! I love them and how bad ass they are. I read on average, about 3 to 5 books a week and this is the first review I have given. Keep the books coming

Elle Anderson: Our new Sister-in-War ...
A.M. Adair's authentic Elle Anderson is an exciting new character in thrillers—the best parts of Mitch Rapp, Scott Harvath, and James Reece in a fresh, page-turning action package. Adair is an active-duty USN warrant officer in the intelligence field, and she knows the moves in this realm that make her debut thriller an honest page-turner. You can try to put it down if you want to, but it won't let you sleep thinking about it. Might as well get outta bed and read some more.Elle Anderson, the protagonist, can fight, shoot, and reason like a pro, but unlike commonplace thrillers, Elle obviously is a female badass for a very welcome change. Her character is fully realized and fully equipped to play in the big leagues. My own thriller includes strong female characters, so my introduction to Elle Anderson was a welcome one. There should be more female badasses on Earth. This was Adair's debut novel, and since then, she's released Book #2 "The Deeper Shadow" and book #3 "Shadow War"—and now "Shadow Game" the graphic novel. I intend to read all of them. You should, too.Adair will retire from the Navy one day, and that's the Navy's loss. But that leaves her plenty of time to write full-time, and that's our gain.Five stars. Strongly recommended.

Hard hitting, unexpected turns
The first book in the Elle Anderson series, Shadow Game introduces the main character in a fast paced world of collecting and acting on intelligence, often with minimal support. Adair has written a believable, well thought out character that will have you turning the pages eager to see what happens with her.

Nice
This was a great action book. It was full of mystery and a nice display of investigation skills. I liked the female protagonist. It seems refreshing to have one strong leader. She is nice and smart. However, I think her portrayal could be a bit more realistic about her feelings and rational emotions. There are some things I would like to change about the depiction of the Muslim/Arab culture because they seem stereotypical. Nevertheless, the ending had a great twist.
