Perfect for heavy lifting!
This is my 3rd or 4th pair of this style lifting strap and it wont be my last. I like how its not a long strap so there isn't a ton of extra material to keep looping around. I typically use them for deadlifts, and multiple back movements. They are amazing and have never failed me. Super comfortable around my wrists with the added padding and the dowel at the end helps really lock the strap in place.

Know what you're getting, do your research.
Look around, Schiek makes the best lifting straps out there. These were my first pair of any such weightlifting straps, and I can say I'm happy with my purchase. You do not wind these around the bar in a conventional manner, instead they cover bar a little over 1 revolution, depending on the width of the bar; the dowel placed at the end of the strap allows you to wrap only once and tighten the grip in a throttling manner. Takes a while to get used to but they are much more convenient to use than the conventional style allowing you to get a secure grip in two motions. Some say the strap isn't long enough while in my personal experience I find it is more than enough, sometimes even requiring adjustment in wrist placement since the dowel can become uncomfortable on your palm when overwrapped on a bar. I suppose those who come from a conventional strap background may find them difficult to become accustomed to. Due to it's design it should not be used cleaning or an serious weight while deadlifting. Overall I find them worth their shortcomings, it cuts the wrapping procedure to a fraction of what it usually is and it's much easier to find their 'sweet spot' in grip for two handed excercises. I would recommend this to any of my friends having explained the differences between these and conventional straps. They appear to be extremely sturdy and well built, padding is extra nice too.

Kept these ones
I ordered three different styles of lifting straps from three different brands and I liked these the best and kept these. They are easy to wrap and they don’t cut your wrist at all.

Good wraps that don't hurt the wrists
I bought these actually by mistake thinking they were just straps without the dowel. I had bought them and they were all ready shipped so might as well try them out right? I actually like them more than I thought I would. I really do not have the best of grip (am working on that) but can lift so much more with straps.Pros: Foam padding for the wrist so the straps won't dig in like other straps; Once you figure out how to use them and have a little practice, these are very quick to lock into place; With normal straps, it matters how you put them on your wrist and which one is right and left. These have no right and left, just depends on how you want to tighten the Velcro; Velcro seems very durable and should last a long time;Cons: Takes some practice to get these on without the other hand at first.; If you have a new barbell, these have the potential to wear out quick; Short strap but just the right size for me to get it tight and comfortable.I would recommend these to anyone I worked out with. They are overall made with lifting in mind and work like a champ so far. I gave these 4 start just because I see potential for them to wear down faster than I would like.

Best lifting straps I've used, very versatile!
i have used this style of strap for 10 years now and tried many others as well. Personal preference of course and others may like other strap styles. What I like about them is the padded wrist loop can be adjusted to assess comfort level. The dowel allows for superior grip and keeps the strap tight around the bar. A few people have said that the dowel setting leads to loose wrap on the bar. This is simply remedied by wrapping the strap a couple times, corskskrew style around the bar, the dowel does not have to sit in the center of your palm by any means.Anyway, I am sure everyone has their preferred wraps, but these ones are definitely extremely useful throughout the gym.

Best deadlifting straps
I used a pair of these for years and they're the best deadlifting straps. The dowel design is so easy to use there's no messing around with annoying longer straps and wasting time to cinch your grip just right - these just fall into place perfectly every time. Lasts ages. The only reason I bought a new pair is I'm in a different country and just got back into heavier deadlifting for reps of around ten. I've gotten to a weight that I just cannot hold onto the bar on the latter reps unless I use a mixed grip. I'm not a fan of mixed grip at all as that puts your back and body out of balance. Use these straps to easily maintain a double overhand grip and never look back.
