I purchased this to make a drink that I had had in a restaurant…a huckleberry press.And where I live huckleberries are impossible to find.This syrup worked perfectly in my drink…delicious!

One thing I love about shrubs is the ability to drink them straight. I’ve enjoyed other shrubs and I did not like this one. The vinegar was overwhelming to my taste. I tried it because it was free prime shipping to my house and I wasn’t interested in traveling to my farmers market.I usually put this in hot apple cider since it is ginger flavor. But this shrub is 1 note + ACV vinegar. You have to watch that you don’t add too much.I’m disappointed and really wish I could give it 5 stars. I do like the way shrubs make me feel giving me some energy. I like drinking shrubs after eating a heavy meal at dinner as it seems to have helped my digestion.

I used it with club soda. Pretty good but I prefer a shrub with tiny flecks of fruit in it. This one is nice and dark but clear and a little too much like a traditional syrup. But overall not bad. Good acid flavor and the best of 3 shrubs I bought on Amazon (only one from this company so I might try more from Shivelight).

I am sorry to say that I found it bland. None if the tang you would expect from a vinegar base, none of the sweetness you would expect from the sugar. It does have some huckleberry solids and blue color, but I didn't taste that either. I am giving it 3 stars because it wasn't horrible, just not very good.

This was way to vinegary and not nearly gingery enough. Couldn't finish it. Very disappointing.

Didn’t love the flavor as much as I wanted. I now just make my own shrub. Equal parts fruit, sugar, apple cider vinegar

Wow is this some tasty stuff!!Just what I like,a beverage that's good for you and tastes good too.Don't know how you did it but you got the right combination of ingredients going on with this blend of goodies.It'll always be on my shelf from now on.Next step mix it in with another tasty beverage,double the pleasure,that's the way to go I say.

I ordered this to use in a salad dressing and it worked well, the dressing turned out nice. When used in fizzy water the cherry is very subtle, almost an after taste. If you like sour/tart in your fizzy water you will enjoy this, but it is not sweet or fruity.
