Cracker Jack Collectibles: With Price Guide (A Schiffer Book for Collectors) Paperback – Illustrated, January 6, 1997

A lot of research went into this collection of products. Not to detract from this effort, I was dismayed that there were not more examples of pre-WWI (metal) toys which were articulated and are now almost impossible to find.Also the injection-molded plastics came in all sorts of colors and finishes. Not much was mentioned in this book, therefore I found it lacking, and a disappointment. If the entire scope of Cracker Jack toys and prizes were included the book would be much thicker!

Lots of great color pictures, many details, and memories included.

The only thing I would say negative about this book is that it could of had more older toys in it.

All is good even with the ripped page.

Not as expected 😞. More a general guide not a reference book.

First of all - the book started falling apart as soon as I opened it! Pictures are poor quality! There isn’t much information ie. dates and description. I was so disappointed! I wasn’t concerned about price guide bc it’s out dated a year after the book is published and there is better resources online.The problem is, there isn’t much out there on Cracker Jack toys, and this book doesn’t help.

I recently acquired a small Cracker Jack prize collection from the 50's-60's. I ordered this book for two purposes: that it would enable me to identify those pieces that were not specifically stamped Cracker Jack or NOSCO (the toy manufacturer) and that it contained a price guide. The book is sadly lacking. Many of the photographs are redundant ... full page photographic layouts of the same prize(s). I was hoping for a book that was chronological and illustrated or described every known C.J. prize. I thought the price guide was neither current or accurate. I probably should have returned the book.
