Easy way to automate Humidity at Home.
I bought this humidifier for my office to accompany a previous purchase of the hub, thermometer/hydrometer plus, and the SwitchBot bot.The unit was shipped in a double box, however you may want to ask for amazon packaging as the box does indicate what is inside. I did not remember to check for that option. The unit itself is the size of a typical humidifier and is made out of maybe some ABS white plastic for the base and filter and a clear water tub to place the water and lid where the vapor comes out. Looks attractive in my placed area. The unit is a light weight appliance so it took me about six minutes to unpack and physically setup. The biggest deal that took me time was that I had to find a place that relatively was water safe. You fill the tank either by bring water and pouring into the tub or you can take the tub entirely out to fill. The unit has only one button on itself but pressing it multiple times gets you into the mode you want and the Bluetooth configuration which is needed initially. The logical setup of getting it running the app was easy and I added it to switchbot app in about a minute (press long once and a blue light will come up then you proceed to add the wireless router). They could make it easier on the WIFI install by taking the default that the other devices had, but I had to manually configure. That was not a problem since I seldom change routers. All together was very easy and fast. The automation took another 2 minutes, after I tried to figure out the SwitchBot interface. I created a scene whereby if the humidity level was reached at the other side other the room from the switchbot thermometer/humidity senor to turn on. I was trying to see what I could do in Alexa so I also connected to that and Google to give me some options. You can have the humidifier stop based on your automated settings based on the obtained/desired humidity level. All together simple. Alex voice commands work ok, however I see only basic all the data of the device (For Thermometer: I see on the button the humidity in the Alexa app button then one pressed I see temp, but I am trying to see what actions it can trigger. For the Hudimifier in the Alexa App: I see off and on. If you go to switchbot app you can see all the data points the sensors a picking up on the humidifier (or I should say the app itself has controls maybe not yet available... don't see automate. As for Google I did see the automate button on the device control in the app. However given all these options I am sure getting the humidifier to work in all automated ways. Last thing, was I did add it to SmartThings as well. Sometimes that adds problems because sometimes I may have a difficult time knowing which hub is triggering and many times adds multiple of the same device because they show up on different hubs.As a side project, I bought SwitchBot NFC tags as well as other tags on Amazon (main to be used for Apple Shortcuts ability to trigger personal NFC or with Apple Homekit). I want to place this little NFC near or on my home office door, to turn on or shut off things. In any event, I do see the automation options for NFCs and triggering the devices. I was able to write on the SwitchBot NFC. Now setting wich devices turn on or off when I tap my phone to the NFC should be possible.I think this product is a great value and simple to automate. I would have no problem recommending it.Quick Update: After looking around I was able to setup of tapping my phone on an NFC. I programed it both in SwitchBot app, but also did a routine in apple shortcuts to turn off my humidifier , turn off my lights in the office, open the waze app, turn on Bluetooth, and set my alarms to away. Also SwitchBot app cam add itself to iPhone shortcuts. So I can now write routines using Alex, Smartthings, Google Assistant. I can then script something to use in Homkit via integration w shortcuts. so nice. The scripting needs a little more improvement like state (home, away, stay, etc) and if I could see the other way from SwitchBot apps to the other hubs on their interface would be good additions.Another quick update: I can now see the humidifier and thermometer in IFTT. I have ran a test of triggering a light to go off and on when humidifier is turned on. I can do it natively, but I wanted to check if IFTT recognized the device. It was recognized through my smartthings hub, but I am sure that there is a native way in the cloud services button.

Smart, Sleek, and Great Vaule
To put it simple: it works as described and incredibly user friendly. I purchased this for a small bedroom to have on mostly at night and during humid days. The noise is minimal. It is not silent, but not disruptive. After four months, the humidifier did start making a strange noise in the night. I am not sure if this is a result of not cleaning it thoroughly, but let it be known. It is easy to clean than it appears. In order to do a thorough cleaning, you will need to snap apart the top lid and a handle on the bottom of the tank. It is smart. By that, it can connect to an dedicated app to turn on/off, adjust the speed, set humidity, schedule timer, and other options. It can connect to Google Home, but limited to power functionality inside the app/Google Assistant. One and only downside: If the diffuser is a important factor, the tray is placed in the worst possible position. You will have to make sure you add drops of diffuser oil BEFORE plugging it in and placing it on a flat surface. The position discourages me from even adding oil to it.

Simple. Elegant. And it works!
Initial review...if anything changes lll update. The humidifier came in a plane brown box and was well packaged inside with foam to prevent damage. The humidifier itself is very simple which is great! It has ONE button!! Very simple to turn on and off, or to set some basic features.Unboxing and set up took about 5 minutes. Went together extremely easy, and the top fill is a breeze with a wide mouth. As soon as I turned the unit on it started to put out mist. No sloppy wetness so far on the furniture around the humidifier. The real fun starts when you connect to the the app. Super simple to connect in the app. Then you can set schedules, humidity, turn it on and off, and connect it to smart home services. So far I love it. I’ve tried four different humidifiers and returned them all until I got to this one. Prices nice and so far so good!

Really wanted to love this humidifier
First off, this humidifier looks like it would be a winner on paper. Smart, efficient, easy to use and cheap. However, the fact that it's so cheap comes at a cost. (pun maybe intended)For the first couple of weeks, it worked very well. Completely silent and got the room nice and humid. However after a couple of weeks the fan started buzzing. Initially it bothered me, but I learned to live with it.It was also not easy to clean. It grew pink mold in basically every crevice despite using filtered water and definitely required a lot of prying and scrubbing to get everything clean. Now only 3 months later and the fan has completely stopped working. It just makes a loud screeching noise when it turns on.I still would have been ok with my purchase had their been any support. After not receiving a response back from email support, the only thing I can do is just write this off as a lesson learned. You get what you pay for.

Excellent Smart Humidifier
This is a great product. As a humidifier, you can control it manually using the touch button on the unit, or use your voice thourgh Google or Alexa, or you can use the SwitchBot app to turn it on and off and change intensity setting. It even integrates with SmartThings.Another nice feature is that it is real easy to refill with water. You can take the cover off and refill it in place or you can remove the whole water tank and refill it at the sink. Also, the unit automatically shuts off when the tank is empty and you even get a notification from the app on you phone that water has run out reminding you to fill the tank. Awesome product.
