Great for tiny kitchen!
I recently renovated my tiny kitchen by basically miniaturizing everything, smaller appliances, smaller sink, and my sink cabinet shrunk from 27" to 21" wide. I was very happy until I realized that there is no wallmount kitchen trashcan that would fit inside! I looked everywhere online, considered DIY and was at the point of giving up when, upon googling "tiny wallmount trash can," I came upon this product. It is TINY, and I highly recommend anyone concerned about its size get out a measuring tape and visualize the limited volume this bin can hold. It is also overpriced for what it is, but it is sturdy and works well. I generally don't like swing-top lids, but this one has a spring so that the lid snaps back to the close position, which I like. The cover fits securely on the base yet comes off easily when you are ready to empty it. The trash can fits on the backing (the part that gets screwed in) via two small knobs on the backing that get stuck into two holes on the back of the trash can. This fits securely, too, but because of the space between the trash can and the backing, the trash can can rock forward and backward, which I don't like, but I've gotten used to it.How can such a small trash can be functional in a kitchen? Well, 90% of the day, I produce very little garbage, for which this trash can works fine, and for dinner prep, I will use a separate bag for garbage, which gets tossed immediately after dinner. This system is by no means ideal, but the inconvenience is totally worth it because my trash is now hidden, reducing visual clutter, which used to be a huge problem for my small kitchen. One tip, which I borrowed from another review: Instead of screwing the backing into my cabinet door, I screwed it into a scrap piece of wood I had lying around (after sawing the wood down to size to fit my cabinet door), then used three 3M Command hanging strips (the kind that don't damage surfaces upon removal) to adhere the wood piece to the inside of the cabinet door. This would work great for renters who are not allowed to make holes in their apartments. Just make sure that if you do this, the tabs on the bottom of the adhesive strips are sticking out past the wood edge so they are accessible if you ever decide to remove the wood piece/trash can.

Pretty good. If there were a lot of better ...
Pretty good. If there were a lot of better options, it might be 4 stars, but they get the extra star for being the most easily found solution to my problem.Problem is my dog eats trash when home alone. His particular favorite is bathroom trash. And sometimes I forget to shut the bathroom door before I leave. I got a Simple Human step to open can, which he has now mastered. I don't like bathroom trash in my kitchen, the only other covered trash. I can't remember how I stumbled across this Camco wall mount trash can but I'm glad I did. It fits inside my bathroom vanity but still leaves space for my stuff.Inspired by other reviewers, I mounted this with Command doublestick tape. But before doing that I cut two small wood blocks (and painted them, the longest part of mounting). The first block I used to screw the mounting plate to. Then I taped the wood block to the door. Reasoning is to have a larger surface area for the adhesive. The 2nd block stands slightly proud of the first. This I put near the bottom of the can to keep it from flexing and banging around. It is also held up by command strips. This setup works pretty well. BUT. After a week, the adhesive to the top block failed. Grr. I left the strips in place, coated them with bathroom caulk, and remounted the hanger block. After leaving that taped up for a day, I reattached the bin and it has been fine for a few weeks now. But (again) I make the effort to push the lid flap in more sideways, toward the mount, minimizing the downward shear force. This is reasonably easy because there's a round molding remnant at the lower front of the lid. I outlined that circle with a Sharpie as a reminder to push there. So far, dog has not gotten into this trash. Result!

Small and compact.
Mounted on the wall and handy. Wish there were appropriately sized waste bags. Even the small bathroom bags are too large. I'd buy a box of smaller and better fitting bags.Overall a nice little wast basket that actually stays put and doesn't fly aroundwhen you hit the brakes!

Love it, but nitpicky on color
I love this thing. It helps keep my dog out of the bathroom trash (though I did have to put baby locks on the sides as she’s a persistent beast). My only whine is that the large size comes in a dark, clay gray (pictures lean more toward white) while the small size is white. If I was using as a hidden can (inside cabinet, as advertised), color wouldn’t matter. But my purposes require differently - and this was the only can I could find like it. Why the difference in color between sizes? So, I have the small white one for decorative match and just have to empty it more often. But it’s worth it to keep my dog out of it…
