N' Design Hearts and Happiness Playset

My niece enjoyed doing this kit. We both enjoyed seeing the Orbeez gradually grow in the water. We allowed the Orbeez to soak over night. I didn't feel comfortable putting these in any edible reusable food bowls, so we used our empty plastic bottled water containers by cutting it in half and using that as our Orbeez containers. When crushing these Orbeez, use a small amount at a time. I took off one star because this activity can be a bit messy, so get the paper towels handy. For less mess, place the Orbeez directly into the injector to crush and fill at the same time. When filling the craft, pay close attention and do it slowly so that the Orbeez won't leak out the sides of it. For the price, this is a fun and cheap activity to do to keep the little ones occupied.

This was a fun project to do with my daughter but it doesn’t last. It takes a few hours (best if you wait overnight) for the orbeez to grow. Then you crush the orbeez, which I think was my kid’s favorite part. After that you fill up the little holes with the colors you want. Problem is the crushed orbeez leak out of the holes and the mold will come loose if you fill it up to much. After you are done, it’s pretty useless as a sun catcher. The orbeez start to dry up and shrink after a few hours and it’s not really reusable. We tossed the project but kept the orbeez crusher. Honestly if you just have this and a bag of water beads you’d probably have more fun. But really for the cheap price and the few hours of entertainment we had, I don’t really feel like I wasted my money.

My 8 year old had a lot of fun creating the suncatchers. But once she was finished with her creations, they are now sitting in a box. So the drawback is it's not something that you can use over and over again. But I knew that when I purchased it. Which is why I waited for a day when the price was a bit cheaper.

If you like to keep your child's creations in a memory book for years and years, this is not the kids' craft for you. The crushed, colored gel will dehydrate and disappear in a week. Also, good luck finding the template so you can insert a photo in the frame. I never did after searching online at Orbeez for 30 minutes.

This is a very strange project because once the Orbeez are crushed and injected into the plastic form, they dry up and look horrible. Bizarre that this would be a project that's intended to hang in the window, but by the time it's in the window, it's no longer pretty. Did we do something wrong? Also, it leaked out of the holes in the plastic at one point, getting pretty messy.As with anything like this, it's a little scary to do around little ones because those little balls roll everywhere and look like candy.Other than that, it was relatively fun. It's fun to handle the slippery balls once they're hydrated, and the crusher was fun to use. It was a disappointment for my 8 year old that she had to let the orbeez soak for 4 hours, and for that reason she wouldn't initiate working on this, but once I pushed her and helped her start, she had fun with it.

My daughter (8) has been begging for orbeez crush and this was a big hit. Comes with way more orbeez than you need and is easy and fun to use. Oddly its very relaxing.

My daughter is an Orbeez fan! It is a fun thing for them to do on a rainy day! Would recommend this product.
