Dim the lights and up the phone screen brightness
It’s a good start for many pieces of art if you are unsure about proportions when sketching. Highly recommend working in a dim room with the phone brightness as high as it goes because otherwise the image will be hard to see. Avoid wobbly surfaces and maybe use a bit of blue tack to keep the frame of this thing stable relative to the position of your paper. If you want crisp lines for tracing then tweak the contrast of the source image first so the edges are clear, and then trace. Use this to establish a good base, and then add finer details on your own with good lighting rather than rely on it entirely. It’s no panacea, but very helpful if you are just not sure why your drawings look off when you do studies of master works.

Absolute Rubbish
The item is very small and reflection is poor.Complete waste of money

Only works in certain lighting
I found this item reasonably okay but it is hard to get a good picture if the ambient lighting is bright. I have not yet drawn anything on it as I can't seem to create the right conditions. I bought this to draw characters for my 4 year old granddaughter as she loves cutting them out after colouring them in.

Good product
I bought this item after reading all the bad reviews , I think it's misunderstood .I only dropped a star be ause what's missing is some clear instructions , it does not project an image onto the paper the idea is to look at the paper throught the plastic screen you then get to see the image and you pencil/ hand underneath .The first picture above shows the view you can see this way , the second you can see the picture is not actually projected onto the paper .So using it by looking through the screen I managed to get some good results and think it's a good buy for the price .So it's easy to use once you know howAs I said it just needs some clearer instructions ( or any) to come with it.

Works great
I can't draw at all but this helped me draw and my picture looks great. Definitely recommend it if you can't draw as I make Christmas cards and it had worked brilliant. The size is perfect and ita very easy to use and it's very light too in weight.

Don’t bother
Waste of money! Lightweight, flimsy and useless. It is so fiddly to use and can only be used in a very dark room for the image to show up. Also you have to be a contortionist to be able to draw a full image as your hand gets in the way of the light.

Almost a waste of money
Suitable for very simple images or for people who just need the bare outline of the image. The user must be good at tracing in almost complete darkness, otherwise the image visibility is even worse. Considering the low price and not total uselessness, I'd say it's almost a waste of money. The rest is your choice.
