Coupling - The Complete Second Season

Our favorite series ever.
To my wife and I, funniest series ever. I believe I have seen ‘best’ lists, particularly Brit, that agree.

The Best
Had to purchase since we couldn't find a place to stream these. One of the best feel-good and grab-your-sides-laughing series ever made. Don't believe me? Watch an episode. The best.

After the first season had to get the 2nd and it didn't disappoint. Extremely funny. Highly recommend both seasons.

Was a time Americans claimed there was no such thing as British Humor on TV
Coupling Season 2 is that much more proof that England could out perform their American cousins. Routinely hysterical and inventive. Cast writers and crew routine take things closer to the edge and confront the viewer with just how funny the single life can be. Farce is never better than in the hands of the British.Better than more comments about how well Coupling laughs past its US competition - IMHO wanna be look- alikes (Friends, Sex and the City and whatever) lets highlight some of what makes this one of the best reasons to own a DVD player. Episode one finds the socially incompetent Steve cursed with having two legs. How incompetent? For him to be seen with a woman is practically a disguise. Neurotic Jane is convinced she is being stalked, except that it is never the same man twice and Sally introduces her new boyfriend a butcher to her friends who think he is a surgeon.Episode 2 begins with a comedic discussion of every adolescent’s nightmare, the sudden arrival of their parents just as the sexy part of a TV show gets naked. The ladies of course share exactly what brought about the conversation just in time for Steve to meet in person his fantasy TV star. This results in Steve choking on his Girlfriends name and the girls conspiring to swap off cell phones. And Jeff, the Human tripod, finds that a previous girlfriend has immortalized him as a sex toy. (The scary one in the back). Exactly how Sally’s mother gets involved is too much of a spoiler.Best friend and insecure Sally uses Susan’s Shower and exposes her bottom to Susan’s boyfriend Steve. To clarify the situation Sally establishes that to Steve, she is Australia. Later Steve holds a public meltdown because men are not able to have an opinion about color swaths. Almost ultimately, he asks the universal question what are sofa cushions? And leading too The Melty Man Cometh. There are still 4 more episodes. Season ender: The End of the Line achieves more with mistaken ID’s and crosses cell phones than anyone not a master of British Farce can hope to juggle. Who is the real D Darlington and more important, who is Giselle (Sound of whiplash)? The bottom line, if we may borrow term: Coupling attempt topics never before part of television comedy time, does so with precise limits and laugh out loud results.

One of my all time favorite comedies
I've heard so many people compare this to Friends. I'm not sure I agree. I find this show to be much funnier. Seasons 1-3 were absolutely hilarious. The relationships between the main characters take some fun twists. Season four sort of stands apart. I am no less a fan, but with the departure of Jeff the new character comes in and adds a new twist to Jane. It's a little less funny, but no less enjoyable. Season two, which this review is supposed to be about builds on the relationships and humor from season one. The humor is all there, Steve and Susan build their relationship. Patrick and Sally find one, Jeff is Jeff and Jane is there to throw a monkey wrench into everything. It's an awesome show.

Totally Hilarious!
There are four seasons of this show and I've watched all Four! I'm in the USA but I happen to love British humor. This series is sort of like the UK version of friends. I found it hilarious and I was looking to watch it again. But nobody streams it. So, I had to buy all four DVDs.If you're a fan of Brit comedy, and you like relationship hilarity, I think you're going to like all four seasons of these. I'm going to put this exact same review on the other three seasons so don't expect anything new there. Sorry about that. :-)

The others are just great. I'd recommend them to anyone
This is one of the funniest series we've ever seen. The last season wasn't because of losing one of the principal actors. The others are just great. I'd recommend them to anyone.
