I purchased this to increase my lung capacity mainly for singing, but also for general physical fitness. It is definitely working for me, and I am pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend this. I am a 64-year-old female in relatively good condition, but not a performance athlete or singer. The resistance on this particular model was just right for me. Gives plenty of room for improvement before I would need to level up. The item is just as described, in perfect condition, and comes apart easily for cleaning.

I decided to try this device because studies had shown a drop of 10 points on the systolic blood pressure. So far I have not observed this. It does seem to be a good workout for the lung muscles which must be a good thing. I have gradually increased the resistance. Long term I don't know but expect only positive results.

Excellent. Well made even if plastic. Works well for breathing exercises, should reduce blood pressure as well. Didnt buy this for athletic enhancement. A bit expensive but this brand was proven in clinical studies versus some others.

Not sure about $60+ for a plastic resistance breathing thing. I didn't read the description very well, which is my own fault. I thought it kept track of progress made. I bought it for my 85 year old father so the fact that it doesn't keep track of progress and it does not measure your performance makes it necessary to use a second piece of equipment to do that part. I have it 3 stars because it does seem to be made well and you can change the resistance to make it harder to develop your breathing capacity but again $60 seems a little high for a piece of plastic. If it works though and helps him build his volume then it's worth is ten times this amount. I will update

I'm 46 and have had horrible allergies my entire life, which forces me to breathe through my mouth at night. The older I got the worse my sleep became. (Throw in some significant sports injuries and I got very out of shape despite not being overweight at all) Before trying this product, and for about the last decade, I wake on average 4-6 times per night. Sometimes I would have to stay in bed 10 hours to get 7 hours of sleep--even then I got up tired. If I couldn't stay in bed that long, I would often wake up exhausted and stay lethargic all day. I tried this on whim after reading an article about how it helps sleep apnea and blood pressure, and I can't believe how I feel after 3 weeks of using this for 5 minutes twice a day. Last night I woke up once that I remember. My sleep is clearly deeper. I wake up feeling good and rested, and I sleep less! My energy level is higher. My mood is better. My wife doesn't hear me making god awful noises at 3 a.m. I can't recommend this enough.

Okay I thought it wasn’t working but I’m just dumb lol I thought I had it on the highest setting but you can turn the knob WAY past the point of first resistance. I thought it wasn’t enough resistance but this is actually great!

I had the very first version of this - over a decade old now. I finally upgraded and this is so much nicer/easier. I am a competitive athlete and when I first started using this I noticed an insane difference in my wind. Maybe you won't notice a difference if you're not moving/working out, but this thing works.

The Powerbreathe teaches you how to go from weak shallow breathing to full beneficial breathing. The better and consistent your breathing becomes the more improved your blood oxygen level becomes. After using for a few weeks, my blood oxygen level is at 99%-100% level and my stamina has increased.
