Works well! No need to buy new pants!!!!

I use this to dye my old worn out clothes to bring them back looking new again, so I save money on buying new clothes.

I had several pairs of white painters pants laying around. I thought I might be able to wear them around, but not in white. So I decided to dye them. They turned out great. Not black but a very dark gray. I don't wear them to church but nobody says anything when I wear them to WalMart. Just be sure to follow directions. I found the liquid does a much better job than the powder. Also, don't be afraid to dye them in your washer. Mine cleaned up fine when I followed up with some detergent and bleach in an empty cycle.

There is nothing wrong with the dye because I have used it before. The items I wanted to dye were polyester, so I had to return because this dye does not work on that kind of fabric.

Just what I needed

Wow, I saw a youtube video and the lady in it dyed her black clothes black with this stuff and dyed a drk grey tee. I thought why not. So I got this rit dye and went about the process. Well it turned all my black stuff purple (2 pairs of jeans, a hat) and the drk grey sweater I had (my fave) it turned purple (see pic). this stuff sucks. Not even 10% of what I was hoping for with this product. Waste of money and a waste of all my damn salt. Now I gotta buy more salt, all my clothes r purple, and I'm back to 0. Don't waste your time on this product. Unless you want to be disappointed.
