Dry Kabanos, Polish Link Smoked Sausage, Pork Kabanosy approx. 3 lb | 48 oz

I usually got my Kabano's from the local Polish market, but sadly, due to Covid, they closed up. I saw these on Amazon and figured I'd give them a try. Yes, they are more expensive than buying local, but if you can't get them local... what are you going to do? Silver lining is, they're actually better than the ones I used to get locally. My family loves them! They're also about half the length of the ones I usually got, which again is a plus, since the smaller grandkids can now have they're own without breaking it in half. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Having lived in Germany for almost 30 years, and my in-laws producing there own smoked meats, I know good charcuterie and smoked meats when I see it. This is good smoked meat that ranks up with the best of them. In fact, this is the second time I'm buying. My only problem I have with them is, once I start eating, I can't stop. When I run out, I have to reorder.

I love these, they are smoky and not very fatty, not very salty, not very chewy; the flavor is very different than other dried sausages, maybe it's the garlic. Used to get them from the Polish Market in Troy MI, they were much cheaper there, but they don't bring them anymore.They can withstand probably not being in the fridge for a couple of days. My order came by USPS from CA to OH in a week. They still look and smell OK, but I would not get these online in the summer, they will probably change taste.The weight of the package is close to what is claimed.

These are delicious! Anybody having issues with these molding; make sure you take these out of the plastic as soon as you open them, and put them into a paper bag and put them in the fridge. With the paper bag, you won't get mold, and these will slowly get more dry and flavorful as they age.

I knew it was a risk to buy such a large quantity of these sausages, but went ahead regardless because I love dried sausage and was looking for a change from the usual biltong. These are really good! Excellent fat-to-meat balance, spice that's not overpowering or oversalted. Moisture is good, akin to a thick-cut jerky without being dry or leathery. Casing has decent snap. I'm very pleased with these and can recommend as a good snack. Packaging was adequate for shipment and intact upon arrival.

Everything a kabanos should be except the length. These are Jaegerwurst length, easily compensated and by doubling them. They are addictive.

There are better kabanosy, but not shipped at this price. This sausage is cheaper and of better quality and taste than the gamut of Tillamook, Obierto, etc. sausage sticks. It's a Polish sausage cure, not overly smokey. Taste is good, where curing salt is definitely noticed but not excessively. Dried texture. Perfect for casual munching or ethnic occasions or as a vacation food. Better value than comparable sausage sticks. Will buy again.

I purchased 2 times and they were delicious. I’m planning to by some more. They are NOT spicy. They have a good flavor something like Kielbasa but the diameter of it is the size of a pinky.
