The media could not be loaded.  First and foremost adding light to a shoot opens up an endless array of opportunities to get creative. Light of any kind needs to have the characteristics suited for photography and video, and COB LEDs are the only way to go. There are two main kinds of LED for small light sources, COB and SMD.Are COB LED Lights better?* They consume fewer watts/lumen making them more efficient.* Are single stable color only (no color shifting as they dim).* They provide a broader, softer defused light with a larger more even "patch."I found this Cube LED to be extremely helpful in low light situations where a little "kicker" was needed and in some cases where a lot of light was required to compensate for the amount of natural backlighting. I use it when vlogging on my shop, it balances the lighting when vlogging in my truck, on photos & video shoots for clients and even in very hard to light situations like behind glass.I prefer constant light over flash because it helps me see upfront all the shadows and the actual intensity of the light on my subject. If I need to power down or up, add a diffuser - it can all be done the first time saving me a lot of time setting up.I want to mention that this is a waterproof light and while I don't have a lot of need for waterproof lighting, I do like the fact that it's available and gets me thinking more creatively. I have used it underwater for some awesome shots. I love how small it is which make hiding it much more manageable. In the video, you'll see some creative ideas where it's size can be very helpful.The specs showed that it will last 100% at full power, but I typically have used it at 25% and am able to get nearly three (3) hours of continuous runtime.Let's talk about the specs:* It's a Multi-function LED light designed for photography and, video. It can be used in a verity of different situations as well, like cycling, kayaking, hiking, camping, backpacking, etc.* It's an excellent size at 50x45x45mm, and even though it's made of aluminum (not plastic), it only weighs 80g.* It is waterproof to 65ft (20m) out of the box and does not need special housing.*It is rechargeable and will last about 1 hour under 100% power output and 3 hours at 25% power of continuous output.*A wide beam angle of 120°, makes for great coverage and the adjustable brightness settings of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% give you a lot of options for intensity and the strobe ads in some creative effects for your videos.* There are multiple 1/4" screw holes for a verity of different mounting options.* Two diffusers, a white and a warming diffuser for those cloudy days.

This light is small and built tuff. I would give it 5 stars except after only a couple of times using it I noticed that the magnetic diffusers had started to fail. there are 1 cool light and one warm light magnetic diffuser that are also used to hold the gels on with. where the magnets are held in place on the four corners of the diffusers are cracking and the magnets fall out.UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Upon reaching out to the customer service department I was told that the design of the diffusers had changed and were no longer having this problem. They immediately sent out replacement diffusers and I am happy with the new design. So far so good.

This little LED light is one of those things I didn't know I need it. Well built and It's incredible versatile, can be used for product photography, filling light, can easily be attached to a camera, tripod, action camera and even a drone.Pros- Excellent build quality. It feels like a solid aluminum cube.- Fully waterproof. It even works under water (the USB post is protected with a screw cap).- One button operation. Additionally, the button is lit, so when charging; it lets you know if the battery is depleted (red) or fully charged (green).- Includes 2 magnetic color masks (made of hard plastic, not flimsy film).- Internal battery can be charged through USB.- Battery lasts at least one hour at full blast.Cons- More color gel/masks would have been great.- The light is advertised as "dimmable", but it actually just offers 4 brightness levels (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) in addition to strobe.All in all, Cons are really minor, it's an excellent waterproof rugged LED light.

The media could not be loaded.  The Cube video Light has super bright light output, the defusers is a magnetic attachment type which is easy to use. I love the overall quality of this cube light, I guess at 50 bucks it should be great quality. The cube light has 4 modes for brightness and a flashing mode.Here are a few things I would complain is the defuser is in plastic and the magnetic is quite close to the edge and I already see one corner cracked up. The screw knob in the back that you remove to charge the cube, I can already see this cap get lost quite easily. Other than that, if you're in the market for a super portable video light this is a good one to have.

I really wanted to like this LED light. It’s built with a sturdy anodized aluminum case which also helps with heat dissipation. I used it for a month to light repair projects I was working on, and it was great for that.But then I took it to Maui, and used it for snorkeling. One snorkel, maximum depth maybe 5 feet (it’s rated to 20m/65 feet), and when I came back, it would no longer charge or turn on. When I got back from Hawaii, I opened it up and found that it had massively leaked, and was now completely destroyed - see picture. The aluminum case seals against a plastic cover, that also seals the USB charging port (using a round cover sealed by an O-ring); this seal failed miserably.Great light in your house, but don’t dare take it snorkeling/scuba!

I liked the compact size and the price. I wish the light covered more area and much brighter.

I used this cube to mount on my waterproof drone, using the mounting screwholes. I've dunked it underwater below my camera to shoot video. The light is pretty bright and has four user-selected settings (single button cycling) for brightness. I like it so much that I'll order another for general purpose, in places that a flashlight is inconvenient for example.

It's a very useful, rugged and long lasting light. The only drawback is heat. These get HOT when you leave them on during a shot

Nettes kleines Videolicht, für viele Einsatzzwecke. Da ich schon seit ca. 2 Jahren eines habe, mit dem ich sehr zufrieden bin, wollte ich mir einen zweiten Lichtwürfel kaufen um die Ausrüstung zu vervollständigen. Ware kam aus Amerika und sogar schneller als avisiert.
