Gah... she just can't get over him, nor he, her.
Futaba has to be more honest with herself, & others, including Kou & Toma. Especially them. Neither of them wants to lose to the other, but it's not up to them. Futaba, get it together, girl! It's go time! It's time to wash or rinse, which is it gonna be? And finally "Little Aya" has a breakthrough with his dream girl... and then we see that she hasn't always been as cold to him as he thought! And now, at the end of the volume, Futaba tells Toma the truth, and they come to understand each other better. Also, Kou, unable to let something go unless he has closure, he finally catches up with Narumi to have "the talk"... so she's finally accepted the truth. Or has she? Only time will tell. I keep feeling like Toma & Narumi are going to get hurt bad, and it will basically be seen as collateral damage. Love hurts, as a wise man once said (well, actually, the 70's Scotish rock band "Nazareth" said it, after the "Everly Brothers" did...). So yeah, another volume full of soap-worthy drama, to be sure. I am so very much enjoying this series. Well, I love anything by this mangaka. Art, very good. Such facial expressions. Dialogue, so true to the subject matter. I think any of us could see ourselves in these situations when we were in high school. Many of us probably did. Characters, believable, likeable, relatable, and just utterly fascinating.
