Great product, great vendor, great price.
A+ on both the product and the vendor. I'll definitely be buying more from MapTools in the future! I was initially referred here by a Dirty Civilian YouTube video, where I saw this protractor being used. This video included a couple of tricks that I've found useful: 1) pull one strand from a piece of 550 Paracord and thread it through this protractor, tying a knot in each end to keep it in place. Just pull it taught and align it with the angle you want on the protractor to project an angle all the way across a larger map. 2) the little "rite in the rain" 3x5 notepad works well for land nav notes, and is the perfect size to store the MapTools pocket protractor while keeping it safe and flat, by folding a page to make a little pocket as pictured. Not only is this tool perfect for my needs, but the vendor included several instructional and practice sheets AND a *customized* declination sheet printed on waterproof paper that shows the declination for the specific zip code in my shipping address. None of this was even mentioned in the listing, and as low as this tool was priced, was completely unexpected. Thank you!

Essential tool for orienting your maps
This is a handy little tool to quickly orient your maps to the correct declination. I'm still going over the additional functions but safe to say it plays a big role in all my hike planning.

Best pocket protractor
If you don’t buy this for land nav you’re missing out. Plotted my points faster than everyone else and the numbers didn’t wash off from the weather/sweat like the standard issued

Exactly as Described - Pocket
This company produces simple and effective protractors. I ordered my first protractor a couple of years ago. I decided on a pocket protractor with the same team. Not only does the pocket protractor work, I'm duly impressed with the extras they included with the package. Get a postcard to learn a bit about them, but they added some tools for learning navigation - useful for a novice like myself. See pic: (lanyard separate, also on Amazon). Give this business a try. They got better over the years and that's great considering the 2025 economy.

Excellent
In the process of teaching myself land nav. Wanted a small, portable, yet versatile scale. Not only is this pocket scale great, but I was absolutely excited about all the learning/practice material that came with it. Someone who knows nothing of land nav can order this, utilize the material, and have a basic knowledge of plotting coordinates. This guy obviously cares and wants people to learn. Will be ordering more products.
