Purchased this for my 2 yo granddaughter and my daughter said it’s been her pick to have read to her every night since receiving it. The illustrations are beautiful and so is the story. Great book and highly suggest.

This book is super cute. I love the message and the pictures are fun to look at for kids and adults. I don't even mind rereading it again, and again, and again.

My 4 year old son asked for a Halloween-Christmas book, and this book delivered! The illustrations are fantastic. The story takes us through the life of a Christmas tree that wanted to be anything but that. He discovers over time and with experience that although he was not destined to be a traditional, bright green pine, he was meant to bring joy to the kids who knew him. My kids and I love this book and we are so glad we found it!!

I loved this story and so did my grandson. It's very touching about how something ugly can be made into something beautiful and how love, company and joy can have an impact on feelings and change the tree's "mind". Also how we are all diferent but wonderful in other ways. Loved, loved this story and it can turn into a lot of dialog with your child. Very inspiring Halloween story.

Cute Halloween story, not too scary for a 5 and a 3 year olds. Nice bedtime story about being different. Arrived in great shape and shipping was fast too. Other Halloween books we are reading are Little Blue Truck's Halloween and the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, this was a great add to those. Thanks

First we checked out this book from a library and my daughter(4yo) and I soon fell in love with the storyline and cute illustration and we added to our Halloween book collection.This book always gives us a great opportunity to talk about emotions. At the beginning the tree was so determined to be himself(or... Maybe stubborn) and its wish was granted. But we as read start to feel loneliness and so does he. Once it started its second life and we felt ease, but the biggest problem happened and the tree gradually reflect what it wants to be.Until the end we can't keep our eyes off the book.First a few pages were Christmas scene and I was first at a loss. That's why we still can read as Christmas book. Yes, she still brings this book to me to read to her and I'm happy to read this book over and over again! Thank you for such a wonderful book!

My 3 year old son loved this book. It was the best Halloween book we bought all season. It had a really unique and original story, sort of a new take on the traditional Ugly Duckling story. The illustrations were spirited but not graphic or scary. My son starting calling the Halloween Tree, the Grumpy Tree and he wanted to read the book more than once - always a good sign.
